"Building a Bombshell"  This piece specifically depicts Marilyn Monroe, but can be attributed to all sorts of leading ladies within the fashion/film/ industry.  What we saw was not Marilyn but a construct of what those around her wanted her to be. She became a highly profitable sex symbol and it was all part of her design. And by we, I mean you old folk. She's way before my time.

I really like these three images together. They don't relate to each other, at all, but they were made at the same time, with the same supplies.
