What do you think the best episode of the pacific is? What is your personal favorite?

Putting my personal, crazy fangirl thoughts aside I think that part five, Peleliu Landing, is the best episode of the Pacific. It’s just got everyone in the episode and everyone’s doing something interesting. John’s struggling with him being forced back home, Eugene’s finally entered the war, and Leckie’s finally back from Banika and he’s recovered. The landing on Peleliu is really vivid and intense and I love how it goes from Eugene’s perspective to Leckie’s during the battle. There’s also a bunch of cute side moments with some of the side characters, like how Eugene’s introduced to Snafu and Burgin and Jay and Bill Leyden’s added into the show (I love me some Leyden). And Eugene and Sidney have their cute reunion and Leckie returning to H Company is one of my favorite moments ever. Part five really has some quotable moments and combined with the intense battle sequence and all the new awesome character additions to the show, I really feel like it’s the best episode of the Pacific.

Now my personal favorite is definitely part nine, Okinawa. Even though the episode is so sad I really love the obvious change that you see in Eugene and the other members of K Company after everything that happened at Peleliu. Eugene is probably my favorite character in the Pacific and part nine is pretty much completely focused on him so i really love it because of that. I’m also a huge Sledge/Snafu shipper and that episode is filled with so many moments between them. Basically I love part nine because of all the relationships of K company you get to see, Eugene and Snafu, the old vets and the new guys, and the intense character development that’s present.
