Okay, so we didn't get many Tripkey moments, but I see this season as a building block for their relationship. They're just getting used to each other, becoming friends, which is such a big step for Monkey. A HUGE step. They are wildly different which causes them to butt heads (especially regarding Monkey's inflated ego) but they challenge each other, inspire one another.
Monkey felt so grown up in that last scene they shared. The lengths he would go to protect her was so sweet to see, and Trip's declaration that she would sacrifice herself to bring him back was a wonderful moment as well.
Fingers crossed for a third season, because after that emotional goodbye, we be getting some good ass angst my guyss.
Season 2 was so much fun! Sandy and Pigsy were so cute this season. The whole thing with the little pot-plant was adorable. Also, it looks like more money went into production because it’s a noticeable step up from season 1 in terms of scale and set pieces. Was hoping for more juicey Tripkey stuff, but that’s just cause I’m a greedy git lol The whole ending episode was wonderfully angsty for them though so I’m excited for what comes next 😁 I’ll probably pick through the season again for scraps to edit with lol
