HI Happy Birthday! I went to FanX Salt Lake this weekend as Martin and my partner as Jon and not only did we run into Season 5 Jon and Martin, they had a wild Johnny D'Ville with them 😌

Seriously though, there’s a lot of memories there. I remember Trust, BOTWOT and WAFF vividly, and can only really hope that everyone’s doing well from there. (I wouldn’t call us the first instances of GB AU stuff, though, there were plenty of other inspirational sources beforehand!)

I’m just happy that something I’ve written still warrants the occasional reread from folks, and still seems to spark enjoyment.

It’s not so much Iwant to take a break or anything tho. It’s just that I’m several pages behind on people’s comics or their fanfics or their art in general and I haven’t reblogged or liked or commented on anything other than what you see me put on my dash. And I’m really sorry about that ;~; I’m not even taking a break I’m just unable to keep up properly right now.

What about Jack Russels or Beagles? I have a old gal who's a mix of the two and oh boy she's been fun

I have a soft spot for JRTs because my mom’s dog was one even though we absolutely hated one another. They’re full of shit and vinegar, but I find that endearing about them.

Grooming them is always a challenge because you’re a stranger and no you may not clip their nails or give them a bath. I’ve always had to muzzle them because they always want to bite.

Daycare they suck too, a few have been kicked out because they’ll just straight up attack another dog who’s excited or trying to play. Overall just... not good dogs for that kind of setting.

We don’t have that many come in, but those that do seem to have some sort of understanding that their JRT is a little spitfire.

Fun fact: the only ‘vegan’ dog I ever met was a JRT owned by some hoity-toity 20-something straight out of some booshy college. She would insert the fact her dog was vegan with every opportunity, then when we had to kick her dog out (which was a PUPPY I might add) for attacking another dog, she went everywhere online to drag our store’s name through the mud.

I very nearly flipped out on her in person when I did her dog’s evaluation and first learned she was willingly starving her puppy. It probably attacked the other dog because it was fucking hungry.
