HEY TUMBLR WHAT’S WITH THIS HMMM
FUCK YOU I’M REBLOGGING THIS
quick phai so i can make it through the day
Started playing silksong and I knew I had to bring those stupid animatronics into the mix. Go my sundrop silksong au
Okay so I got Rednote because I heard about the whole migration thing and I never bothered to sign up before, and the cultural exchange has just been really fascinating
Some sentiments I see from the Chinese side:
For a lot of people, it's the first time they've been able to directly interact with foreigners and make use of the mandatory English classes that they've been taking since elementary school
This is a special in moment in time, where the people in both countries can just converse and see just how similar they really are. Many people are staying up late to really get the most out of it because we don't know how long this can last
Lots of misconceptions being corrected, including but not limited to: Americans don't get period cramps, Christmas and Jesus are Korean, all Americans have big houses like on TV, work in the U.S. is easygoing
Finding similarities between parents, like asking if they're digging a hole to the U.S., or saying that when they were little they had to walk uphill to school in the snow both ways
Two things they were shocked by: cost of university (in China, the better the school, the less you pay), and learning about rural food deserts in the U.S. ("aren't they farmers?")
Lots of comparisons on the cost of rent/groceries/medical costs/salary/work hours etc, with the resulting sentiment that the common people everywhere really are the same and have a common enemy
Lots of them have changed their typing habits so that it's easier to machine translate and are now stuck with a sort of "translation accent" in their Chinese from reading so much machine translated Chinese
After the Americans joined, the quality of the posts have gone way up ("Rednote algorithm knows there's guests here and so is serving the best dishes now" / "Why has Rednote been hiding the good stuff? The guests are worthy but we aren't?")
Also there was a post asking Americans to post pics of their work lunches, but I think the Chinese users might've been disappointed by the comments, because half the comment section was pictures of empty hands ("Didn't have the time") or like. a cup of coffee
When in doubt, blorbo-fy your friend's oc
@clovergreensocks 's Refri
can’t stop thinking about them
Workout For Daily Life
Reblogging for the neck pain ones… whoa Nelly, do I ever get the most killer neck pains.
When I was in rehab for a broken hip, my physiotherapist taught me to do the hand/wrist, feet and neck exercises as well as leg extensions etc.
‘It’s all connected,’ he’d say. And he’s right :) I still do those exercises regularly and they help. They help a lot.
Looks like Moon wanted to stay in the moment a little longer haha! First comic of the new year and it’s shenanigans lol. 💫
I just made this comic based on @coffee-master idea, enjoy it
i think about this a lot. what if a deaf human fell down the mountain. would he make his threatening language accessible
Bazyliszek!Chica
Part of the Sphinx AU, her design is a lil loose, i cant settle
Eyes on the top of her head are the killin sight ones, they are usually closed, very sensitive to light. The killer eyes pop into her head kinda like frog eyes do. Her main eyes don't have very good eyesight.
Very venomous, from her spit, through her blood, to the actual venom in her fangs. Deadly lady
She's incapable of flight, uses her wings to aid her walking, also able to balance herself on them to grab/touch with her feet. Has suprisingly nimble feet.
Those little "spikes" along her wings are actually deformed flight feathers that were unable to leave the hard casing and harden into points they were itchy at the beginning, not anymore
that is the face of a man worried he will be next
Good news, he was not next! In fact, she accepted him as her mate, he learned the crane mating dance and now every year, he artificially inseminates her with crane semen to expand the very endangered crane population. True story.
Sorry, he WHAT? Imagine being this man's boss and having to sit him down like. Listen. Brian. We need you to fuck the bird. You have to act like you're excited about it.
crane husband.....
this is the diametric opposite of all those awful swan wife stories and i love it.
(WalWaPo makes you jump through like three separate hoops before you can read the article, so I will share some of the highlights:
Walnut was born in a species-recovery breeding program in the 1980′s. The program had crane chicks hand-raised by human volunteers, and at that time they did not fully understand the measures necessary make sure that the chicks do not imprint on humans and retain their identity as cranes.
As a result, her keepers believe, Walnut does not recognize other cranes as members of her own species.
It has not been proven that Walnut killed her previous suitors; however, there is a persistent rumor in the white-naped-crane-conservation community that she did.
Because this species is highly endangered, and the gene pool of the captive population is small, it’s pretty important for the survival of her species that Walnut A) mate, and B) not kill a bunch of other cranes.
The actual name of the keeper is Chris Crowe.
They both arrived at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in 2004.
Walnut immediately began paying special attention to Chris--and ignoring the eligible male crane in a nearby enclosure.
Walnut initiated their courtship, performing the opening moves of a mating dance.
Chris realized that if he reciprocated the mating dance, it might be possible to artificially inseminate Walnut with her participation and consent. (The process normally involves restraining the bird.)
It worked!
Chris and Walnut have had five children, who were raised by other crane couples at the facility--sometimes the biological dad and his mate--both because it’s unclear whether Walnut would accept the chicks as her own, and because Chris is not equipped to be a Crane Dad.
However, the Institute provides her with artificial eggs to sit on, and Chris takes his turn looking after them. (This would not work with real eggs because he can’t sit on them properly, but Walnut seems to feel that he is on the job if he just stands over them.)
Chris accepts that he is pretty much married to this bird. White-naped cranes live to be about 60, and they mate for life, so he knows he can’t retire while Walnut is alive. (At the time of the article, Walnut was 36, and Chris 42.)
Legit cannot pick the funniest part of this
she has not been PROVEN to have killed her exes, but there is a PERSISTENT RUMOR (really officers she's simply DEVASTATED, she sobs, wearing a new feather boa unfortunately resembling her most recent deceased husband)
His name is Chris CROWE. (Mrs. Walnut Crane-Crowe?)
the mental images of a whole human man learning and performing the crane mating dance, and "sitting" on artificial eggs so she thinks he's performing his duties as a husband and father (and apparently OBJECTS if he does not?)
"chris, buddy, you gotta marry the possibly-murderous crane lady for the GOOD OF THE SPECIES." (alternately: "chris, my man! good news! we found you a very interested lady! She's 36, she's very spirited and independent, she holds a very important and rare status in her society! ...Is there a downside? WELL...")
chris sits any potential human partners down, like "my love, you must understand before we wed,,, i am already... Attached" (camera drifts wistfully to the above photo) "Lady Walnut and I have an,, Understanding... the relationship is open, but very committed"
just had to explain this post to my father bc he thought my stifled laughter was a signal of illness.
well done, everyone, good game. hit the showers.
Not only is he 'married' to walnut, this has apparently happened SEVERAL times, so he has MULTIPLE crane wives, none of which know about any of his other crane wives. This man is, for some unknown reason, irresistible to cranes
the “this content has been removed for violating Tumblr’s Community Guidelines” notice really adds a lot of flavor to this post and somehow makes it MORE obscene than whatever that actually was

Morning \o/
So to kick myself in the butt, i’m gonna tidy up (queue it) that dump of a draft folder during work breaks (better than getting myself lost on my dashboard and mindlessly adding to the draft pile…)
That means for the next few days expect a little reblog ‘spam’.
So now to find how to pin a post…
Edit: I found the 'pin’ button. How did i not notice…
Edit 2: Another forewarning… After the newest ~1k drafts are sorted, the remaining drafts are 2+ years old so expect a lot of old posts to resurface…
Edit 3: After over 200+ posts i still have about 1k new drafts before blowing the dust off the old stuff… *curses dash with all the amazing, new rebloggable stuff* On another note i was planning on IF i get around to doodling one of these days i’ll try to post whatever i got after the queued up craze and reblog it for the morning crowd somewhere before or midway through :3
Okay i give up... nevermind that i'm faster adding drafts than queueing them...
There is just too many lovely wonderfully amazing artist, authors and other creative people out there!
I'll instead pin something a little more close to my heart later on in the day.
Okay, okay hear me out! This might be my fever brain speaking right now. And maybe... juuust maybe i've binge watched some of my old favourite crime series, but...
Sun and Moon detective au but along the lines of the 'Cold Case' series.
Sun, Moon and y/n revisiting old, not yet solved but also not forgotten cases, if new clues show up.
Maybe y/n is new to the force. A young blood with either quite the temperament or a literal ray of sunshine (i'm a bit fuzzy on the details), but either way with a strong sense of justice. Bring closure to the loved ones and hold the perpetrator accountable.
Sun and Moon on the contrary are already a little jaded from the daily grind. They were once as bright-eyed and idealistic as y/n. But for them it's now always the same old song: get a new clue, roll up an old case and get one of two outcomes. Either the new leads come to nothing. Or the culprit still slips through their fingers because of a deal or a procedural error. (It's not always a total failure but those cases remain more prominent in their memory)
Y/n's empathy for the victims and their loved ones, their boundless energy with which they dive head first into each case... and their tendency to get into difficult situations by either throwing hands or running their mouth with potential suspects, is what breaks the detectives out of their monotonous world (that and the many times they have to save y/n's ass from yet another self induced chaos of some sort). It's also what over time endears y/n to them.
Bonus points when later on they stumble upon bits and pieces related to old cases regarding the Pizzaplex and in a larger context Sun's and Moon's past.
forgot to post yesterday’s cooldown doodle, have a flustered boi
Just you know this is so adkaslfjkaljf! My heart goeas ‘doki-doki’ every time this post crosses my dash. I mean the height difference! The expressions and their h...hands *flustered squeak*
I’m just gonna lie down right over here and... dream a little bit about drawing some fluff <3
Life is stressful right now so what better way to procrastinate decompress than to finally line that piece you wanted to post back around Halloween...
*sigh*
