Dream #1: About Ghosts!

"As previously mentioned in our passages on Souls, ghosts often are souls that upon their death, remember their lives or remnants of emotions they experienced during their life too strongly to be "recycled" back into existence in another form or "move on". Attaching themselves to our plane outside of it's previous body. We know this because ghosts can retain their knowledge of communication, and should your language be shared, or nonverbal ways of communication excellent, are able to discuss with other beings that retain the ability to experience souls. Even, if when verbally discussed, their voices are a bit echoey. I find it quite soothing to the ears actually. Like screaming into a canyon.
Ghosts, also called apparitions, spirits, etc. have a distinct appearance, sensation, and atmosphere around them. Visibly, they often retain a similar appearance to their previous body, injuries and all, making them easy to identify. The only exception is to when their soul is strong enough, or dysphoric enough, to reject their previous vessel and reflect the form they've always wanted to appear as. The form that purely feels like themselves. Either way, their appearance is slightly blurred and can hurt the eyes to look upon for too long, similar to the experience of going outside at peak sunlight and having it be too bright. Causing pain to the eyes and spots to appear. Funnily enough, using sunglasses does help to look at ghosts for extended periods of time. Ghosts can also turn invisible, in order to hide from other's presence. However, when there is an exceptionally strong, disturbed, or confused soul, it becomes much more difficult for them.
Ghosts also create very particular sensations. When around a ghost, or being touched by a ghost, you will feel as if the temperature has dropped. Even though, it has been measured and confirmed that this is just a response of the body's nervous system sending mixed signals to the hypothalamus. Creating an icy chill across the skin similar to a cold winter's day, or going into a walk-in freezer to makeout with a coworker. Not that I've ever done that of course. It is possible to feel the physical pressure of a Ghost's being alongside the chill, so for anyone wanting to have their own sexy ghost dreams fulfilled, this is great news for you! Personally, having sex with a ghost has been very high on my bucket list for a long time, I just haven't met a ghost yet that hasn't either bummed me out, terrified me (in a NOT sexy way), or just was plain boring. Ahhh...someday. No matter, continuing on.
Ghosts also create a particular "atmosphere" around them, similar to a very humid day or when a Summer's storm is brewing in the air. Charged, heavy, electric. It adds an odd weight to experiencing ghosts, like you are around something primordial that you should be bowing down to. I wouldn't mind bowing down to one if you know what I mean. Sorry. No, I'm not. I've heard they taste like ozone and heat, combatting the chill of their skin. They also smell like ozone, fresh water, and burning dust. Lending to their perceived connection to storms and the sun. Or just nature itself. Also, not helping disconnect the "ghosts are sexy" trope that media has used from their true existence. I mean, primordial natural forces that smell like fresh water are sexy, right?!
In less sexy, but albeit important information, it's time to discuss how to help a ghost "move on" and how to neutralize a ghost. Neutralize being Department Yggdrasil's preferred term for being "dissolved into assumed nothingness" or "killed". And before you ask, no not even us knows exactly what "moving on" ultimately means for everyone. All we know is that souls leave the atmosphere of our Earth, they appear in anything conscious on our Earth, and sometimes a soul that can't quite leave our plane ends up an echo of their previous body (a ghost) and it may or may not end up on a killing spree in order to regain a physical body to become a ghoul. To help a ghost move on, you have to do one of the most difficult tasks, communicate with them. Truly connect with them and puzzle/find out exactly why they feel as if they have to be still connected to this plane. Then, help them let go of that connection. Sometimes it's by solving an issue, talking through their connection with them, or every once in a while...revenge for all their loved ones. Good luck to whoever has to deal with that!
To neutralize or "kill" a ghost, you must trap them in a mirror and smash the mirror. Simple, right? No. Typically, this involves a lot of Scooby-Doo maneuvering and two specific figures. One, with the control of lightning or sunlight by either nature or by borrowing from the daoine sith. And the other, being someone who is drawn towards the specific ghost type you are trying to neutralize. The individual with the control of lightning/sunlight keeps the ghost at bay as the attacker, as it has been found that those two elements resonate with ghosts' energies and can disturb their presence. It causes ghosts to visibly appear by force and seems to exert some pain upon the soul. The being who is drawn towards the specific type of ghost acts as a sort of tracker, finding the ghost at the beginning of the search and in-between attacks. Together, they push the ghost towards a mirror and force them into it using the electricity/sunlight. Once the ghost is in the mirror, the mirror must be kept warm with sunlight before being smashed or with the usage of electricity, will soon shatter naturally.
Because these two elements need to exist in order to neutralize a ghost, all Department Yggdrasil agents must carry pocket mirrors at all times and be able to form electricity or sunlight through either natural matters, a specially designed weapon, or through a contract with the daoine sith. It is not impossible to do alone for a specially trained Department Yggdrasil agent, or a hunter...but it is difficult. When Department Yggdrasil is notified of a possible situation necessary for neutralization, they require at least two agents to research & respond to the scene."
