Super Sim, Part 2 - Down With The Sickness OH AH-AH-AH-AH π€π
previous // next // beginning
Another day, another ailment. This time Theo is hit with the Sonic Sinuses Ailment (WHO COUGHED IN HIS MOUTH?? WHO DONE IT?!), and this one I won't allow! One could argue it's a way to level up our handiness skill, since he sneezes the sink out of order constantly, but it looks so itchy and painful, I feel bad for the man. So, to the apothecary shop we go! *cue Stayin' Alive*
I was very upset to find out the guy only sold one ailment cure, and it wasn't the one we needed - I imagine the apothecary stock changes daily or something? If the mountain won't come to Theo, then Theo must learn how to make the cure himself, so with some quick mentoring from Todd Attenberry, Theo reached level 2 of the apothecary skill, and we could then make a cure for his ailment. This also somehow skyrocketed our relationship with Todd, so he is now our best (and only) friend.
Because aspirations are forever just glorified tutorials and there's less and less content added to this game (it also feels like the Sims team is leaning into that complaint a little too much), this one was only 2 levels deep and we've already earned our first reward trait: Nature's Best Bud. Theo's also got excellent comedic timing, cause he IMMEDIATELY rolled a prompt to dislike natural living. Y'know what, buddy, sure. Go off, I guess.
Sonic Sinuses BEGONE! And stay gone π
I put together a shabby little shed for Theo, since the man has had enough of my nature bullshit. I'm so bad at building on a budget, I hate not getting to fully decorate it without having to do it in small bursts, whenever we have enough money. But now he can get out of the rain at least.
TELL ME WHY Nancy Landgraab, of all people, stopped by to rob us, as soon as we had something to steal! Her and her bugged out eyelashes kicked Theo's ass and now she's our sworn enemy. I'll remember this, Nancy. Just you wait..
I'm working my way through the fables of Innisgreen, and one of them sent me to the Sylvan Glade to catch a Treefish. Theo is on an unlucky streak atm so while trying to reel in this damn fish, we ended up reaching level 6 of the fishing skill. In the process he also caught a cowplant berry (I'M SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE, I'VE NEVER GROWN A COWPLANT BEFORE!), two gemstone seeds (for the crystal tree, I guess?) and a plantsim fruit (??)! I'm sensing a greenhouse in Theo's future.
He loves me <3
This whole time, I was waiting for Theo's nature skill to level up far enough for him to pee outside like the werewolves do for some reason, just for me to realize to my PAIN AND SORROW that THIS BUSH is the way he pees outside, which we've been able to do from the start. The disappointment is immeasurable. Both Theo and I are boycotting (for different reasons probably).
I'M UNIMPRESSED, BYE! ππ¦π
