Watched Suicide Squad today and when I tell you I cried 🔴🟢🟡🟣🟠🔵 😭

Major spoilers for The Suicide Squad movie in this post!

I know, right? 😰  And I really wish he'd had a more heroic death, or at least one that wasn't so ignoble...the guy finally had something going right in his life and maybe new reasons to live, and bam.  Death with comedic overtones.  At least Flag had a badass ending.

 I've seen a bunch of people online come up with ideas how he and Digger could maybe come back in future movies, and at least the ideas for PDM were fairly plausible (the virus re-creates him or sends him to some alien dimension he can return from). I guess it depends on what James Gunn or other filmmakers might want, and wonder if they knew how popular he'd be.

Can you please describe The Top’s personality in like three words (or you know, whatever) for science™️?

If forced to go with only three, I'd say 'angry asshole genius', but a few more words probably gives better nuance.

'A lifetime of lashing out because he's poorly understood by most people around him and he doesn't really understand them either.  Intellectually brilliant, but with poor social intelligence and significant mental health issues.  And very dedicated to his special interest.'  

And yeah, much of this results in him being a huge jerk and a bit on the odd side, but that isn't all he is.

Honestly, he's basically been two different people before and after he died.  Before he died he was generally affable and had just a couple of dick moments...although they were pretty big ones.  After he died he became a turbo-asshole because death and Hell were traumatic and he had to fight for every little gain like escaping Hell and finding new bodies for himself, and it's not clear if the Rogues had an unjust grudge against him or had real reason to hate him when they've generally been accepting of (or tolerated) other colleagues who betrayed or tried to kill them.  There's almost certainly blame to go around on both sides.  Regardless, I don't think the rejection by the people he considered his family has done Roscoe's personality or mental health any favours, nor has the resulting isolation, so it becomes a self-feeding cycle of conflict.

Everything I've talked about is in the pre-Flashpoint era, as that's the vast majority of his appearances.  It's hard to say how things are in the Rebirth era because he's only had one speaking issue thus far, but he's had some Rebirth cameos of him hanging out with and seemingly getting along with the other Rogues (though past-Len tried to kill past-Roscoe again when they were part of the Legion of Zoom).  Things may be different now, but we'd really need to see him get more current development.

AU where Inuyasha and Kagome aren't the only ones who can go through the well and Rin, Jaken and Sesshomaru somehow end up at a theme park in Kagome's time and Rin is all OMFGLET'SRIDEITAGAINPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE and Sesshomaru is trying really hard not to have fun so he just like "begrudgingly" rides all the coasters with Rin totally straight faced.

Is there any reason you're not really into anime? :3

there’s something about the storytelling style that I just don’t connect to. The over exaggeration of emotions I think gets me, the over dramatic shots of eyes with an intense inner monologue…. I know I’m being insanely stereotypical and I have watched a few animes I enjoyed but overall the style just doesn’t click with me. but I mean I totally respect it though I have no problems with it, it’s just not for me
