HI Theo nonnie! Here’s the little request that you sent to me last week, I hope you like it :)

I’ll admit it’s on the short side but I hope I got everything

You stared at the potion sitting on the table in front of you wondering if it would really work. You’d spent most of your life only seeing the yellows and blues of your housemates but now it seemed that you’d finally have the chance to see more color.  But would you like what you saw? Would it really be as beautiful as Theo describes it? Would you even be able to see the colors just like Theo did?

All these thoughts ran through your head before you finally said, screw it! You grabbed the potion and chugged it before waiting for it to take it’s effect. As you glanced down at  your watch, you decided it would be best to go outside and wait there, instead of squirming in your chair. 

Theo was there, resting under the tree where the two of you usually sat, with a book in his hand, but from the way his eyes constantly looked up to the exit of the school you knew he wasn’t actually paying attention for once. 

“Hello love,” he opened his arms out to you and let you settled down comfortable before bringing up the potion, “did you take it?”

You nodded your head as much as you could considering it was rested against his chest, “I can feel something in me changing,” your head was starting to thump as you tried to keep your eyes focused on Theo’s tie instead of everything around you.

“Are you seeing anything different, love?” Theo whispered as his hands soon found their way to your hair.

Once again you nodded your head, your eyes not leaving Theo’s tie, “The stripes look different now,” there was a pause, “it’s no longer that yellow color I used to tell you about.”

Theo watched as your eyes seemed to grow larger and larger in size as you let yourself look at the world around you and actually see the colors that Theo would spend nights describing to you.

“Green really is a nice color on you Theo,” you snuggled in closer to him, as you watched a rainbow of colors appear in front of you.

“So…” Hermione stared at you as you took another sip of your butterbeer, “how’s it going with this new boyfriend of yours?”

You continued your sip for even longer than usual as usual as you tried to hide the blush that grew on your face, “I have no idea what you’re talking about ‘Mione…”

“Oh, please!” Ginny continued, “you know exactly who we’re talking about… I mean, he is the reason why we haven’t even been able to have these girl nights the last couple of weeks.”

“Honestly, we’ve only been on a couple of dates,” your eyes fluttered between your two friends seated across from you.

“Mhmm, sure Y/N… sure…” Hermione giggled lightly.

The three of you continued talking about the little things that had gone on in your lives the last couple of weeks, although you knew the girls would definitely return to the topic of Theo whenever they had the chance. They finally had their chance a couple hours later when your doorbell went off.

“We didn’t order anything to eat, right?” You stood up and headed towards your door before you opened it just a crack to see who it was. Surprise surprise, it was the very person Hermione and Ginny had been pestering you about earlier in the night.

You opened the door further to see Theo with what seemed to be food from your favorite restaurant, “Hey Theo…”

“Hey Y/N,” he gave you that big smile that attracted you to him in the first place, “I take it your friends are spending the night with you?”

You nodded your head, “How did you know?”

“Well…” Theo motioned behind you and when you turned around you saw Hermione and Ginny pretending but failing to spy on the two of you.

You grabbed the closest thing, which luckily was a jacket and flung it at them before turning back towards Theo, “Sorry about that… so what brings you here?”

“I figured you wouldn’t think about food,” he moved the bag in front of you, “so I figured I’d get you all something to eat.”

“You didn’t have to do that,” you felt a blush creep up your face as you accepted the bag that Theo was practically pushing into your chest.

Theo smiled once again, “Well I wanted to, and from the looks of it you needed it.”

“Alright, you’re right… We definitely needed this,” you giggled slightly.

“I should get going then,” yet as Theo said that he made no motions to leave.

The two of you stood in your doorway, staring at one another, neither really wanting to leave yet needing to at the same time. You could hear Hermione and Ginny in the background, yet you didn’t realize what they were doing until they appeared behind you.

“Hey Gin, I just remembered didn’t Harry and Ron mention that they were only free for tonight,” you turned to see your friends all prepared to leave. “You are totally right ‘Mione! And we promised we’d go spend time with them.”

You could only give your friends a look that screamed, What in Merlin are you doing?

“But it looks like you two have everything set up for a date,” Ginny practically dragged Theo into your apartment as ‘Mione spoke. “So have fun!” “But not too much fun!”

They closed the door behind them, “We’ll talk tomorrow Y/N.”

When you finally walked into your living room, you found it completely transformed. Lights hovered throughout the room, and they had set up the table for you and Theo to eat.

“You have some really nice friends,” Theo walked over towards you and pulled you into his arms.

“Mhmm,” you felt breathless as Theo kissed you, “I think they were just happy they got to meet you… sort of.”

“Well,” he started to kiss your neck slightly, “what if we have a little sleepover of our own?” His lips trailed up towards your jaw “You could put on that movie you were talking about last week and we can watch it until one of us ends up falling asleep. And I can even give you one of my famous massages that you keep on asking for.”

“Yes,” you breathed out strongly, “to all of that… especially the massage, and sharing my couch with you.”

Theo threw you over his shoulder and plopped you down on your comfy couch as he settled down next to you, “So… how do we start the movie?”

Hello skittles! After a well deserved break and many mental breakdowns I returned from the dead and now I´m back. First fic in a long time inspired by the title “What it used to be” given to me by the best Hufflepuff friend one could ever ask for @remmyswritings​. Puff, thanks for being an inspiration.

Second Part

You considered the possibility of looking around for him, or going to his common room, maybe check the library. You were growing nervous by the second, rubbing your hands together while trying to keep your breathing even. It wasn't working.

It was late, the moon was high on the night sky as you paced the hall where he had asked you to meet him. You turned your wrist for the millionth time and checked the hour. Fifteen minutes and no sign of him.

“Y/N?” you heard from behind you, your head snapping up at the sound of his voice. A sigh fell from your lips as you ran towards him, engulfing him in a crushing hug as soon as your body collided against his chest “I’m sorry I'm late.” he mumbled, placing a head at the top of your head, his arms snaking around your middle softly. 

“It's okay.” you whispered, pulling away from him enough to look at him “I was just worried.”

He nodded his head softly, taking your hand and guiding you to a nearby bench. You both sat down, silence surrounding you as he cupped your hands in his, caressing the back of your hand with his thumb in a slow motion. 

“Theo?” you called hesitant at the sight of him.

He shook his head, staring at the ground as a way to avoid your own eyes “I'm sorry.” he whispered.

Your heart dropped at his voice, the shaky feeling you were feeling just minutes ago returning ten times stronger as his hold in your hands tightened. Your head was going over every single thing he had told you, everything he had done, any of the possibilities why he might be apologizing. 

“What do you mean?” you asked him, leaning down so you could meet his eyes, a nervous laugh leaving your lips “You have done nothing wrong, Theo.” you assured him.

“I was selfish,” he said, sadness meeting your eyes for the first time in a long time “I was so selfish.” he said harshly, running a hand through his hair as he straightened his back, looking up at the sky and letting go of you. 

You pulled your hands back to your lap, staring in concern at him as he fought the tears back. 

You had only seen Theo like this once, and he promised it would never happen again. He apologized and avoided you for days, returning to his normal self quickly and brushing off the subject every time you asked. You had kept a close eye on him for any sign he might be hurting but nothing he did seemed out of the ordinary. Until now.

“Theo, you’re worrying me.” you said, moving close to him “What is it? What happened?” you insisted, trying to get a look of his face but failing as he stood up.

“I thought it would be fine, I thought maybe we … I could do this.” he mumbled, starting to pace in front of you.

You stared at him in shock, not having the courage to stop him as he started to talk.

“It was selfish of me to think I could do this, but I can’t do this to you.” he suddenly stopped, turning to you with sadness written all over his face “I can't put you in any danger.”

“Danger?” you furrowed your eyebrows as you stood up.

He sighed heavily, taking a look all around before turning back to you. His shoulders fell as he stretched his arm out, rolling his sleeve up to reveal his pale skin and the dark mark hiding underneath the fabric of his sweater. 

You covered your mouth as soon as the gasp left your lips, your eyes frozen on the dark ink moving painfully over his arm. You hesitantly looked up at his eyes, shining with unshed tears as he gave you a pleading look.

“Theo…”

“Don’t,” he stopped you before any other word left your mouth “I know.” he said bitterly, covering his arm again as he stumbled back slowly.

“It’s not your fault.” you said, holding his arm to keeping him from leaving. 

He turned his head slowly towards you, eyes following the trail of your hand all the way up to your eyes “What?” he mumbled with confusion, a tear rolling down his cheek as he turned his body completely to face you.

You smiled sadly at him, loosening your hold on his arm “It was a matter of time.” you told him, his look of confusion deepening as you chuckled lowly “I get it.”

You took a step forward leaving little space between the two of you as you brought your hand up to his cheek, caressing his soft skin with your thumb as leaned in your touch. 

“Y/N…” he whispered, not getting any other words out as you shushed him. 

Standing on your tiptoes, you kissed him sweetly, moving your lips softly against his. He stayed frozen for a second, answering your kiss by pulling you closer to him. His hands were on your waist, his grip bruising before he pulled away, leaving only your foreheads connected.

“You don’t get it.” he murmured, his breath fanning over your face as you opened your eyes “I can’t.”

You cupped his face, a smile in your face as you forced him to look at you “We’ll get through this, Theo.” you assured him “No one needs to know.”

He scrunched his eyes closed, pain written all over his features as his face fell “Draco knows.” He told you “He has known for a while now, about you and I.” 

“He’s your best friend…” you mumbled “He wouldn’t say a word, right?”

Theo shook his head, taking your hands from his face and letting them fall “No,” he sighed, rubbing his temples “But everything is different now.”

You stared at him, waiting for him to get the words out of his head. You had noticed Draco had been watching you, you had felt his eyes burning you every room you walked in. He had been weird at the beginning of the year, he looked sick, worried, even sad. But you thought nothing of it when Theo never mentioned. You considered Draco a friend and now you were worried about both of them.

“Draco is a death eater too.” you whispered, the look in Theo’s eyes giving you your answer once you looked at him “Isn’t he?”

“He’s like a brother to me.” he admitted, crossing his arms over his chest with a worried look on his face “I couldn't let him do this alone.” 

You nodded your head, falling back on the bench you were sitting before. Your mind ran all over the things he had said that night, the tears rolling down his face and the guilt on his face. You scrunch your eyebrows together, a pit forming on your stomach when the words left your mouth. “What do you mean you were being selfish?”

His face turned into one of guilt, swallowing the gulp on his throat he spoke “We can’t be together anymore.”

His voice was dead, monotonous words leaving his lips as he ignored the look of pain in your face “I can’t put you and anymore danger. They know your friends with Potter, you're a target already.”

“I don’t care,” you whispered bitterly “I knew what I was doing when I joined them. You don’t have to protect me.”

“It’s not only you.” he sighed “I told you, Draco is like a brother to me. Do you have any idea what they’ll do to him if they find out he knew about us, about him being your friend?” 

Your eyes widened, stomach turning at the thoughts of someone hurting them. You opened your mouth several times but words never came out, too overwhelmed to even form a coherent word. 

“It's not like it used to be.” he said “We're not hiding from the school or my father. This is death eaters we’re talking about.”

You breathed heavily, the tears finally staining your cheeks as you nodded “I understand.” you said, standing up. 

“I’m sorry.” he apologized again.

You put up a fake smile for him, leaning in to his side and placing a kiss on his cheek. “ I love you, Theo.” you whispered in his ear.

Picking up your pace, you got out of there as fast as your feet could take you. Not waiting for a response, you let the tears fall freely, looking one last time at him before you disappeared down the halls, heart aching at the last look you got from him.

He had stood there, saving the memory of your voice telling him you loved him before you walked away. He re-played the words over and over again, sitting down on the bench as he held his head on his hands, whispering to himself. 

“I love you too.”

Alright puff!!! You asked if I could write more Theo Nott imagines and I happened to have one already written! This is a librarian!Theo x f!reader fic that I plan on turning into a series. Let me know what you all think and ENJOY!

You admired the building in front of you, it had clearly seen a lot over the years and yet it seemed even more beautiful with age. After checking the address one last time, you slowly opened the door, peeking your head in before entering completely. Your roommate had recommended this library to you when you told her that the university library you enjoyed working at so much had closed until further notice... but you were rather surprised by this recommendation since your roommate has never really been into libraries- at least until you caught a glimpse at the librarian.

He was really cute to say the least. His curly brown hair was long, but not too long and it framed his face nicely. Thin framed glasses sat on his face, slipping down his nose slightly but not covering anything. The edges of a green sweater wrapped around his hands as he meticulously went through the books in front of him. When he finally looked up you swore you heard something that sounded like a gasp, which you then realized had come from you as you ducked your head.

Looking back up, you saw that he smiled softly at you, a blush decorating his cheeks, “Um- is there anything that I can help you with?”

You shook your head “Oh- no.... um, this is my first time here is all. My roommate recommended this place to me.”

Theo nodded his head as you scurried over to one of the tables and hoped that your brain would become all consumed by your research so that you would no longer be distracted by the man sitting next to you.

It was sometime later when a groan escaped your lips, the sound muffled by your head which hid in your hands. You heard the scraping of a chair on the floor, and the soft footsteps of someone walking around but didn’t think much of it until you felt a hand on your shoulder, “Are you okay?” A voice whispered.

You shook your head and glanced up to see the librarian looking down at you with worried eyes, “I’m fine... really, I just thought that this book that I had found would be perfect for my research but- um- well turns out it wasn’t.”

Theo’s eyes shifted from you to the pile of books in front of you and then back to you, “Well, what’s your research on? I might be able to help you find something else.”

You sat there opening and closing your mouth as you thought about what you wanted to say, when the perfect explanation came to mind. Sweet and to the point, you figured it would be enough but then Theo opened his mouth and asked a question, and then another, and then another. Unlike most people who asked about your research out of common courtesy, Theo actually seemed interesting. You weren’t sure how long you stayed there, explaining everything to him, how you started it, the books you had already found, the books that you hoped to find. When a small silence started to lull between the two of you, Theo stood up, “I think- I might now just the thing you are looking for.”

You watched him disappear behind the stacks of books, only to reappear several minutes later with a single book in hand, “This might just be what you are looking for.”

As your eyes scan the front and back cover for more information, you can’t stop the smile growing on your face. This, you think, is exactly what I was looking for.

“Thank you...” you start only to realize that you didn’t even know his name. “Oh... Theo.”

“Theo,” you like the way his name rolls of your tongue, “Thank you Theo,” you smile softly at him and hold your hand out for him to shake, “I’m Y/N.”

“Y/N,” it’s but a whisper and yet you had never heard such sweet words leave his lips, “It’s nice to meet you Y/N.”

“You were really worried about me, huh?”

You could only watch from afar as your boyfriend talked with his teammates about the game later today. Typically, you would spend breakfast with him and Blaise, but last night some of Theo’s other teammates cornered you on your way back to the Hufflepuff common room and said that if they lost the game the next day because Theo was somehow distracted during their meeting then they’d blame you. When they finally finished and left Theo alone with Blaise, you approached the two of them, sitting in your spot next to your boyfriend. 

“Hello, love,” Theo cupped your face softly as he left a kiss on your forehead, “I thought you were gonna join us earlier.”

“Hm,” you were pulled from your thoughts, “sorry about that. I just didn’t want to distract you during your meeting is all.”

You were so caught up with your thoughts that you barely realized Theo was talking to Blaise about their plans for the game. When you reached out to grab Theo’s hand, you ended up only getting a couple of his fingers in your hold. When he saw what you were trying to do, he fixed it so that the two of you were actually holding hands. 

“Sorry... I thought that would goo smoother,” you whispered, “you can go back to talking strategy with Blaise.”

“Nah, I think I’ll just hold on to my girlfriend’s hand as I have her walk me over to the dressing room,” Theo smiled down at you as he squeezed your hand lightly, “Now you want to tell me what’s bothering you?”

You shook your head, “After the game... I don’t want you to even think about me, okay?”

“Alright darling, if you say so,” giving you a soft kiss on the lips, Theo headed towards the Slytherin dressing room as you met up with one of your roommates in the stands. 

You don’t think you’d ever been so nervous as you waited for the game to come to an end. Your knuckles turned white from the force that you held onto the railing. 

When you finally ran down to the pitch and practically tackled Theo into the ground with a hug, Theo could tell that you were happy that the game was over, “You were really worried about me, huh?”

“I like it better when you’re with me in the stands,” you nuzzled your body further into Theo’s chest, even though it really wasn’t possible. 

“I’ll make note of that next time Blaise asks me if I can sub in for another game,” Theo wrapped his arms around you as he maneuvered the two of you back to campus, “Why don’t we head to the kitchens and spend some time together... just the two of us?”

“I like the sound of that.”

My dear Siri, before the clocks strike 12 in our time zone and brings an official end to your birthday I figured I’d gift you with one last present... this request that you sent me a couple days ago. I’ll admit I hadn’t gotten around to writing it before today but I decided after writing the Charlie fic for you that I would write this one as well!!!! Thank you for being an amazing friend and human being and for being the chaotic Siri to my chocolate-loving and scheming Remmy <3 Enjoy ;)

hold me in your arms // theodore ‘teddy’ nott x f! reader

You moved around in your bed, waiting for your brain to finally quiet down enough for you to finally get some sleep. Rolling over you caught the eye of the clock sitting on your night table, you groaned loudly when you realized that it read 2:00 am. You’d been laying in your bed for the past 4 hours and hadn’t gotten a blink of sleep. 

Suddenly, you sat up in bed with a thought in mind- a rather crazy one at that- but you hoped it would work. Silently, you trekked out of your room, grabbing a certain green sweater on your way out and sneaked over to the Slytherin common room. You’d taken this route countless times and yet tonight you were on edge until you reached Theo’s door.

Walking in, you silently walked to Theo’s bed and shook his shoulders softly, “Theo… Theo.”

Thankfully, Theo had gotten used to your nighttime visits and after a couple shakes, you saw his eyes flutter open, “Darling… what’s going on?”

“I can’t sleep, can I stay here?” You watched as Theo shook his head, his bed head curls falling all over his face, and lifted his cover so that you could join him.

When Theo wrapped his arms around your body, it was as if every nerve quieted down to a whisper. You finally felt at peace enough for you to close your eyes, and keep them closed. 

The next time you opened your eyes, it was to see your brown-haired beauty walking out of the bathroom, just having gotten out of the shower. He chuckled as he watched the way you shook your hair, hoping that it would tame itself, “Good morning, love. How did you sleep?”

You reached your hands out and made a grabby motion with them, holding onto Theo’s waist when he was close enough, “It was definitely better when I got to be with you,” you mumbled into his chest.

“Well you planning on getting out of my bed sometime today, love?” Theo ran his hands up and down your back.

You laughed into his chest, before turning your head so that your cheek was pressed against him instead, “I will if you dance with me.”

Theo backed away slightly before he bowed down and held his hand out to you, “Well then- may I have this dance, m’lady?”

You placed your hand in his and let Theo pull you up off the bed, “You may, good sir.”

Theo brought you into his chest- a lot closer than any good gentleman would- and the two swayed around the room. The room was soon filled with laughter as Theo twirled you around. 

“I like holding you in my arms,” Theo whispered as he placed a kiss on your forehead.

You looked up at him, resting your forehead against his in response, “And I like you holding me in your arms.”

a love most ardent // theodore ‘teddy’ nott x f!reader

Thank you to @dogweedanddeathcaps for MAKING & SHARING the moodboard that I used for this little drabble! It’s basically what inspired me to write this in the first place! And thank you for helping me with the title.... and for those of you that are wondering yes that is a literary reference to a certain Jane Austin book, which you will also be seeing referenced in this fic hehehe

Anyway, ENJOY <3 :)

You walked through the aisles, books lined the shelves as you headed to the little spot hidden away amongst the piles, the one that you and Theo had unofficially claimed yours when you first became friends. Only today the two of you weren’t meeting there as friends, instead you were meeting there as two people very much more than friends- you just hadn’t realized it yet.

Peeking around the corner, you finally caught sight of his familiar curly brown hair, “Theo?” you whispered.

He turned around, slightly spooked as he hadn’t heard you walk up to him, yet a smile still sitting on his face even though his heart threatened to beat right out of his chest and into your hands, “Hey Y/N.”

You got settled in the nest that you had built for yourself out of blankets and pillows that laid around and reached out for Theo to hand you the book. Once he did he settled in behind you as you placed a silencing charm around the two of you, letting you read aloud without having to worry about Madam Prince’s sharp tongue and explosive wrath. 

Theo leaned his chin on your shoulder, dropping a kiss on wherever he could reach, as he listened to your sweet voice whisk him away to the land that you built around him. While Theo always appreciated a good book, he appreciated listening to your voice even more. The way you brought minor details to life, wavered at the moments that brought you to tears, and laughed alongside the characters. You made the fantasy land of books become a reality in front of his very eyes.

“To love or have loved,” Theo felt your chest tighten and heard your voice waver as your lips trembled, “that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of lif- life.” Your voice cracked as a tear hit the page below you.

Theo’s arms tightened their hold on you as he brought you in closer to his chest, making it hard to tell where he ended and you started, “Are you okay darling?”

You sat there for a second as if contemplating something, tears falling down your face, yet you did nothing to stop them. Then you cleared your throat softly and took a deep breath in, “Have I ever told you how much I love you, Theo?”

“Well- I mean, you’ve told me before that you love me,” Theo began to draw circles on whatever part of you he could touch.

Suddenly, you pulled away, Theo’s breath catching in his throat as you did so, only for you to turn around and face him getting closer as you did so. He could feel your breath on his lips, just as you felt his, your noses practically touching, “I love you so much Theodore Nott, that sometimes it feels like I can’t breath properly around you. You make me feel everything when I’m around you, as if every nerve in my body were lit on fire and yet I feel no fear, no nerves, just pure bliss. I am- so very in love with you Theodore Nott and I needed to tell you before I lost the courage to do so.”

Theo grabbed you by your hips and pulled you in closer so that you were practically in his lap, your hands finding their way to his chest, “In vain-” he started, caressing your face with his hands, “-I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

You weren’t sure who made the first move, but soon the two of you found each other sharing tender kisses with soft touches to go with it. The book you were reading long forgotten as you and Theo made that leap from friends to much more.
