Hi there! I just came across your comic about Teddy choosing his name, and it made me feel a lot of things, because my name is Teddy/Theodore, and I chose mine too. I went through a very similar experience and it meant a lot to see that mirrored in your art even by coincidence. I won’t be able to read the rest of your comic, unfortunately, as I’m not someone who can handle horror, but I just wanted you to know that that small comic meant the world to me, and I wish you all the best with this project!! <3

And you might actually be able to handle the horror in WVDC more than you expect 😁 The horror is actually going to be very mild! Mostly just psychological stuff and drama. It’s okay if you’re still not interested though! I just thought it might help to clarify that 😅

so excited to hear you still plan to finish HH!!! It’s one of my all time favourite comfort fics, I read through it every few months when I need to get out of my own head. It was never my intention to go without updating for so long. When I first started school I was able to continue writing while getting schoolwork done, but that became impossible -- and then even more impossible due to the pandemic, obviously. Working full time in ICU during all of this has been exhausting. Doing so while also being in graduate school and completing even more hospital hours in critical care and emergency medicine has been... so much harder than anticipated. I cannot wait to finish my last clinical day.

And I, too, adore Jeff Troy.

what does their wedding look like? who plans it? who asks who? do they stress about it or is it a casual affair?

kay first of all Wally asks, but only because, in the middle of planning his own proposal, Dick realizes that Wally’s planning one too, and that Wally’s plan is actually better.  just to prove he was Aware, though, Dick switches out their rings earlier that night, so that when Wally proposes and realizes he has the wrong ring, somehow, Dick can whip out the right one and be like “Okay, my turn” and cherish the look on Wally’s face for the rest of his life.

and their wedding is like.  super cute and lowkey coz they don’t want a lot of attention, but also very refined in case of like paparazzi or whatever, but also a little tacky because What’s The Point If You Can’t Have Fun

it’s outside, either in a field or on a beach, and they were gonna have like red flowers for the flash, blue flowers for nightwing, and white flowers coz Wedding, until Babs pointed out “hey do you really want an america themed wedding?  coz that’s what you’re planning right now” and they were like “oh shit ... no” and also that’s when Babs joined the planning committee.  she also recruits Donna in order to have at least one other person to veto the boys’ more tasteless ideas, but Donna’s a bit of an enabler so.  red white and blue flowers?  out.  napkins with their logos embroidered on the corners?  sure why not.  everyone who’s invited s a superhero or superhero-adjacent anyway

but they don’t stress about it because, at the end of the day, all it is is a party to celebrate their union.  they’ll be married for years and years (the rest of their lives, theoretically), so this one night certainly isn’t the most important.
