As engrossed as he was in his book, Teddy couldn’t help but sneak a glance over the top of his page at Clark – a soft smile appearing on his lips as his eyes ran over the form of the other on the opposite end of the couch, and the younger male couldn’t resist being a little bit cheeky. He swung his feet up, stretching himself out on the couch, resting his legs on Clark’s lap. “Enjoying the book there?” He asked, trying to act casual, returning his gaze to the page in front of him. “Just tell me when you finish that chapter, because – no spoilers but, damn…”
The book was interesting and Clark enjoyed this quiet time they spent together. He wondered if Teddy had any issues with his identity, like Clark sometimes did. He felt human and looked human, but humanity was always quick to remind him that he was in fact, not human. It must probably be even more complicated in Teddy’s case, being a hybrid too. Clark hadn’t dared asking Teddy about that however, he didn’t want to prod.
He looked up from the page when he felt Teddy’s legs on his lap and arched a brow. “Isn’t that already a spoiler?” he chuckled. “You implied something surprising will happen.”
