∅ (No pressure, just really curious!)
zed’s opinions on muses / not accepting.
“I do not think we have met before today, have we?” Hard to form an opinion on someone when Zed has only the person before him, a brief conversation, and one or two whispers to go off of.
But then, it is a demand of his business – if one might call it that – that he be able to quickly assess the type of person with whom he is interacting, and if that is enough to cast judgment on another, then perhaps it is enough to share an opinion, too.
“You are a curious one, I think. The shadows refuse to stay quiet in your presence, and I cannot help but find myself wondering why that might be. You seem to have a strong sense of who you are. I do not know what you want, however, and that, more than most things, often defines who a person is.”
Zed shifts his weight from one leg to the other, angling his head as he stares at Nea. “There is an intelligence in your gaze, too, a consideration before you speak that indicates some level of intelligence and experience. This can be hard to find in those your age.”
Ah, but these are all assumptions and extrapolations, and Zed has no way to confirm that any of them are true. He pauses, allowing the silence between them to grow as he considers Nea.
Finally, he speaks again. “Almost everyone harbours a secret of some sort, something they hold close to their heart and rarely allow themselves to speak. I wonder what yours might be?”
