An elaboration on an AU of ghost!Theo cause I cannot leave this idea alone, apparently

no matter how much it hurts me

So Theo, in a post canon London, dies somehow. like weither he gets recaptured by police after the train incident or can't manage to find another source of income and ends up on the street or what. I don't know and I don't want to think about it. but yeah he dies a few years after his time with Loki.

a lot of depictions of ghosts portray them as being held still in this world because they have some sort of unfinished business in the world of the living, which. boy howdy does Theo have that.

so he eventually materializes as a ghost and walks (or I guess floats) the world as a ghost for many years

Loki and the Asgardians eventually come to settle in New Asgard and eventually ghost!Theo works up the nerve to go and see him

So one night when Loki is in bed reading Theo appears at the foot of his bed and says hello

Loki screams and generally freaks the fuck out, not knowing what's going on

Which then makes Thor barge in urgently looking for the source of his brother's distress

This eventually segues to Thor making somewhat pleasant conversation with Theo, asking him who he is and what he is and eventually figures out he isn't a threat

Loki, meanwhile, is curled in on himself on the bed, scarcely breathing, afraid that he's dreaming

Eventually enough of the shock subsides that he can manage to speak again and they talk

They talk for a looooong time. There are a lot of tears, a little bit of shouting, and a hundred apologies on Loki's end, but eventually they find themselves thoroughly closure-d, and just wanting to be with each other and love each other again.

They lean in to kiss each other-

and Loki's face goes right through Theo's. because he's a ghost, and ghosts aren't solid.

The Odinson household gains a new member that night.

Theo stays in Loki's room, sleeps on the other side of his bed. it makes him feel closer even though they can't touch.

He doesn't need to eat, or drink, but he does have limited telekinectic ability and follows Loki around floating objects to help and/or playfully annoy him.

When Loki had first realised Theo's non-solidity in earnest, he had carefully taken his ghostly hand in between his own, careful to not press through it, and promised Theo that he would fix this, that he would find a way for Theo to have a physical form, even as a ghost.

And he does. he pours himself into research, and it's dark, complicated, and dangerous magic, but Loki doesn't care. it depletes him immensely, and leaves him and his magic weakened for months afterwards, but it works. he passes out after the spell is complete, but not before feeling Theo's cold, solid hand cupping his face. he smiles.

Theo, after everything, runs cold, not unlike Loki. and if you were to feel for it you would find that he he has no heartbeat. but it wasn't the heartbeat that Loki was after, wasn't what he cared about. it was the heart, and the man it belonged to, and that he was the love of his life.

and there is nothing in the world he'd trade that for.

I need an AU where Loki sneaks Theo out of London and they get a cottage somewhere in the middle of nowhere in rural ish england (maybe by the sea?) near a weak point between the worlds and Loki uses it to sneak off and visit him whenever he can and they are happy and gay and together and yeah

A LWML thing I badly want to see explored:

(cw for mentions & allusions to torture, physical abuse/assault, and imprisonment, all in a fictional setting)

Loki finding a very unique and special solace and comfort in Theo (who is there somehow) after his time with Thanos because Theo also knows what it's like to suffer horrific abuse in a prison setting and so it's not something he has to like... explain. he just gets it. and that makes it easier for Loki when he has a nightmare or something and is terrified, or badly wants understanding but can't bear to speak about what's haunting him, because he knows that Theo already knows, already understands, in a way no one else in his life does and so he never has to worry about being able to explain it and can just go to him when he needs comfort or a shoulder to cry on (or/and bury his face into) from his trauma from his time with Thanos

okay but Loki and Theo calling each other 'partner' allegedly because they're partners in investigating the murders but also like. not because of that. and because every time they do the other smiles back at them with a hint of that something in their eyes

so I'm working on not 1 but 2 theoloki/frecklefrost fanmixes but neither is long enough yet to publish

one is vaguely canon and the other is for fluffy shippy type songs that can't go on the vaguely canon one because canon is Like That

I literally have like five followers but if any of you (followers or not) have song suggestions for them I'd be happy to hear them (and if I use them I would be happy to credit you in the post when I post 'em) :)
