The One Percent

99 percent of the human body is comprised of:

carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium,

and phosphorous, which explains that warm

glow after a cocoa on a cold winter’s night.

The remaining 1 percent, unaccounted for,

is believed, by the metaphysically minded,

to be comprised of

the soul.

Tie Tuesday! So I was having a conversation today with someone who also sells and he told me the “grind” was getting to him because sales were kind of down. He said he wanted to hang it up for a bit until things in the world normalized. Long story short I asked the guy if he liked what he did, reselling for a living. He said it was just business. Now, I vehemently disagree with that. This is my job but it’s also my hobby, my passion, my area of interest. To find the worlds greatest pieces from literally every corner of the globe and present them to my audience, there’s no front rower super bowl ticket, no movie premiere, no rock concert that can beat that. That said, this collection you’re looking at is 90% a single owner mostly unworn. The worlds most coveted makers. The scarcest patterns. That’s what we do. Because we aren’t machines that see what things sell for and sell them. We’re people with the same passion for quality, craftsmanship, sustainability, and craft like you are. Never forget that.
