The revolutionists in Ukraine consist mostly of nationalists and fascists. Crimea asked Russia to send help and defend against the protestrs

I'd be hesitant to label all the protesters fascists and nationalists. Let us remember the protest movement started when the Ukrainian President ran away from the deal with the EU that Ukraine had been moving towards, with the peoples' support for years. Further to this, they were protesting a police state. While violent protest deserves a robust police response, a government in a deomcratic state ordering in armed police to kill protesters is too much - governments exist to serve the people and derive their power from the people. Let us also remember that when it seemed like it was all going to end peacefully when Yanukovich ran away and the police retreated from the protesters a date was set for national elections for very near in the future. If it was truly a minority of, as you put it "nationalists and fascists" surely that would show in the elections with Yanukovich's party and the pro-Russian faction to do better in the polls. I think Russia's response has been extreme. Let us remember that there was no violence in Crimea. The only protests in Crimea were pro-Yanukovich and and pro-Russia, which would indicate no violence or harm to Russian citizens. While I agree with Russia's position during the war with Georgia over South Ossetia (Georgian violence started against Russians living there before Russia's military response) in this case Russia is acting as an Imperialist power, looking to annexe territory in direct contravention of treaties it has signed once its soft power approach to establishing a Russia-friendly regime in Ukraine failed.
