TASK SIX — are you ready for your next adventure?

while we look forward to moving locations, let's think about how your muse travels! do they like to travel? have they ever traveled before? do they get seasick or does the sea call to them? tell us how your muse feels about taking a journey across land and sea! under the cut is a questionnaire to fill out and explain how your muse feels about various aspects of traveling!

has your character visited other countries before? if so, where have they been? how did they enjoy the journey?

if your muse hasn't traveled much outside their home, where would they like to go? do they have a dream destination?

do they like to travel timely and strictly, or leisurely and make an adventure of it?

how do they approach planning a trip? do they plan out every detail, or just name their destination and fly by the seat of their pants?

what is their preferred way to travel? if they could choose, do they like to travel by sea or by land? ship or carriage or even by horseback?

do they like to travel solo or with a companion, or perhaps a whole group?

when it comes to traveling, do they like to travel for leisure? or is it strictly business to them?

TASK 004: Your Character’s Wardrobe

Fashion and clothing is how characters can express themselves to the rest of the world. Whether they are looking for attention, want to be comfortable, or are under an extreme amount of pressure from their superiors, clothes can make the biggest statement. Share with us how your character dresses!  Under the cut, you will find a questionnaire in case you need inspiration. You can make a pinterest board, a collage, a moodboard, or post a few pictures of what your character would wear. Just remember to have fun with it!

A reminder that tasks are not mandatory, but are meant to be a way to encourage muse!

How important is fashion and staying current trends to your character?

What colors does your character typically wear? Why do they choose that particular color?

Though many are still feelings the affects from the night of dancing the night away at the Memoriam Ball the night before, there was no slowing the flurry of activity that would overwhelm the Mughal Palace bright && early the next morning. Those who had chosen to stay out enjoying the stragglers && last moments of fun until the wee early dawn hours would surely be feeling regret as they received the last, less desired bits of breakfast... but no one was quite ready for the announcement that was delivered to the dining hall at 11am sharp.

Each guest must subject themselves to a confidential interview with the Sharma advisory staff.

While the royal family && staff assured everyone this was only to gather information for the investigation and gain a more complete understanding as a third party facilitator, some wondered what had given the Mughal Empresses such authority over them all? It was announced that, just like the rest of the guests, each member of the royal Sharma family must also fill out the same report, in good faith.

Each head of household receives an appointment slip with interview times listed for each family member, and they are told if anyone does not cooperate... well, it certainly won't look good. Find the ooc details below.

This is a highly encouraged but optional task. If you choose not to participate, it may make it harder for the admins to include your muse, and their political leanings, in later plot drops, but not impossible! This can be completed at any time.

Everything that is said within this task will become usable information for the admin team to use in future plot drops. No harm will come to your character without permission, though!

Be as brief or as in-depth as you'd like. The content for this questionnaire is that your character is being interviewed privately by an NPC member of the Mughal Court. A single sentence or multiple paragraphs are both perfectly acceptable, whatever the muse dictates.

The Opulent Ask Memes - part one.

Since we have not yet hosted an ask meme event, we wanted to surprise everyone by releasing this for you all to enjoy! You may send out prompts to those participating until August 15th. Please feel free to respond to the prompts you receive anytime! Try to ensure you are sending as many as you are receiving to others who are participating so no one feels left out && everyone gets the chance to play to their full desire. This is an optional but encouraged task for everyone to enjoy if they choose to do so! Participation in the ask meme task will count as one in character reply (maximum, regardless of how many prompts you answer) for an activity check.

Below is a list of deep, muse-building questions & headcanon inspiration. Russia: What are your muses greatest strengths & skills? Are they using these skills for personal gain, for their Kingdom, or for another reason?

Maximilien and Plumet Gauthier

These two met during the revolution while Max was stationed near Rue Plumet. The street dog, barely more than a year old, would follow Max on his patrols and curl up next to him while he rested. The dog was initially shooed away in fear that she would get hurt in the action, but she would always return, and over time she became a source of comfort and morale to the revolutionaries. They called her Plumet, after the street where she lived, and within a few weeks she went from a scrawny stray to a healthy and happy compatriot. After the revolution, Maximilien took her in as his own. Despite her affection for his fellow soldiers, he had always been her favorite, and Maximilien often wondered if he would have survived the fighting without her by his side.

Resolving to return the favor, Maximilien spares nothing for Plumet. She is no longer sleeping on the cold, hard streets of Paris, but instead sleeps in a cushy, warm bed next to the fire- though she prefers to crawl under the covers when she thinks Max is asleep. Max is often awake, but allows her to think he does not notice the ball of fur nuzzling against his back. There is very little he would not do for her, and very little she would not do for him. If soulmates are real, he has found one in the happy, loyal stray he found on one fateful day in a Parisian alleyway.

Task 003: Your Character's Relationships

One of the keys to maintaining your muse is figuring out who is important to them and how they affect how your muse operates in the world. For this task, you can do a number of things as long as you are highlighting the familial, platonic, and romantic relationships that move your character's story along. Who has the most influence over your muse? Who motivates them? Is it out of love or out of spite? Who do they wish they knew better? Better yet, how does your character create relationships around them so that new characters can come into their life? Check under the cut for specific ways you can complete this task! While the group is on a semi-hiatus, I'd love to see those who are available build their muses up and strengthen them a bit more! We have always had so much fun with ideas like these, so I can't wait to see where you guys take them! There are a number of ways you can complete this task and you can do it in one, or multiple, posts. If you were joining us on hiatus and would like to complete this task, as well, please feel free to do so at any point! There is no due date for these!

Take the 5 Love Languages Quiz as your muse! How does your muse communicate romantic, platonic, or familial love? How do they wish to receive love in return?

Make a mood board for your muse and their relationship! Show us pictures of what their childhood might have looked like together, or what their life may look like now! You can use gifs on Tumblr, create something with images, use a template online, make a collage, or whatever it is you like!

Compare your character's height to other characters! How tall is your muse? Does that affect the way they are seen in the world? Does that make characters around them feel a certain way? What does that mean for their social standing? (this can get really funny, so have as much fun with this as you'd like. Remember, you are not restricted to the FC's height).

Choose a song for them! Is there a particular song (or many songs?) that you feel represents your muse's relationships well? You can post the lyrics and elaborate on that, make a graphic, or whatever it is you like!

Make a family tree! For a family-centric post, feel free to either make a graphic or describe your muse's family tree. Where do they come from? Who, from their past, do you think resembles them the most now? Are they the black sheep or a direct copy of one of their ancestors?

This is meant to be flexible and FUN so get as creative as you want!! Make sure to tag theopulent.task003 in your posts and share them with the #character-tasks channel on discord!

long  ago  ,  kamotaketsunumi - no - mikoto  ,  the  personification  of  the  sun ,  was  sent  from  the  heavens  to  help  the  jinmu , first  emperor  of  japan  .  after  kamotaketsunumi  landed  on  earth  ,  he  transformed  into  the  yatagarasu  the crow .  from  there  ,  he  asked  the  emperor's  brothers  to  return  to  him  ,  then  yatagarasu  led  the  emperor  and  his  party  out  of  the  mountains  ,  so  that  the emperor  could  establish  his  center  of  power  in  yamato  and  begin  the  lineage  of  the  imperial  family  of  japan  . yatagarasu is frequently portrayed with three legs ( most commonly believed to represent the connection between heaven , earth , and humanity ) , though in the oldest texts referring to him , there is no mention this . suzume  has  spent  years  in  japan's  royal  court  ,  learning  from  her  fellow  advisors  and  the  late  emperor  and  empress  ,  all  leading  up  to  the  moment  her cousin  ascended  to  the  throne  .  and  though  she  remains  uncertain  ,  in  this  time  of  change  and  metamorphosis  ,  suzume  is  meant  to  pilot  kaito  in  the  right  direction  ,  much  in  the  same  way  yatagarasu  did  jinmu .

son of baldr ( also baldur / balder ) , germanic god of light .

known  for  his  kindness  ,  beauty  ,  and  wisdom  ,  so  virtuous  that  he  radiated  light  ,  baldr  was  beloved  by  all  in  asgard  .  after  a  dream  that  his  life  was  in  danger  ,  baldr's  mother  ,  frigg  ,  demanded  an  oath  from  every  creature  ,  plant  ,  and  object  that  they  would  not  harm  her  son  .  the  other  gods  would  amuse  themselves  by  throwing  weapons  at  baldr  ,  which  would  bounce  harmlessly  off  of  him  ,  until  one  day  ,  when  he  was  struck  by  an  arrow  made  with  mistletoe  ,  the only one who frigg did not command not to hurt baldr  .  his  demise  was  considered  one  of  the  earliest  harbingers  of  ragnarök  . hugo  embodies  many  of  the  same  qualities  as  his  godly  parent  .  even  if  he  might  feel  helpless  ,  he's  always been able  to  charm  his  way  out  of  things ,  or  use  a  rudimentary  skill  to  make  the  outcome  more  successful  .  that  isn't  to  say  he  has  no  weaknesses  ,  however , and  the fact that he chooses  not  acknowledge  that more often than not will  one  day  be  his  downfall  .
