He’d been distant for all of their rehearsal. Maybe for the first time, not even Glee club was a good enough distraction from everything he was going through. No-one had been in the locker room, and there was no way he’d tell anyone, especially not Puck, about it. That wasn’t fair to Karofsky - GOD, god, he hated himself for thinking like this, but of course he was worried. For himself too. Because he didn’t doubt for a second that Puck would jump to his aid - all the boys would - but the thought of what might happen? It was sickening.

Kurt snapped out of his daze, pieced together the fragments of his incoherent thoughts, then smiled at the other, coming out with a convenient distraction off the top of his head. The other thing he’d been thinking about obsessively.

“ The Warblers. You should’ve seen their- ”

No. Not that.

“ They’re really good. We need to practice even harder if we want to beat them at Sectionals, ”

        brows raise, disappearing behind bangs as azure orbs lift to look at him. concern brews beneath the surface,  hints  of it in the corners of glossed mouth. lips part, an intake of breath to speak but words  STOP  suddenly on tongue. while not the weirdest conversation starter she's heard, it's certainly new. she pauses for a beat, places phone facedown on the table and laces delicate fingers together. he has her full attention.  ❛ not that i don't  TOTALLY  agree with you, but what brought that on? ❜

it shouldn’t have been a surprise to her, that her friends just so happened to be vampires.  werewolves.  witches.  considering the fact that she was a witch herself; she found it funny, actually, that of all the people she’d chosen to surround herself with, they were mostly supernatural.  it was IRONY at it’s finest, but still a shock, considering no one really spoke of their abilities unless the people they were talking to knew about it.  “what, are you going to tell me that you’re a vampire, too?  a werewolf?”
