To Find A Long Lost Friend (theothersideoftheveil)

Jillian had taken quite well to being a teacher, she enjoyed knowing she had a chance to mold young minds into brilliant tools for the future. Jillian wasnt the same as she used to be though. She felt like everyone she ever knew had dropped like flies. The castle had finally been rebuilt after the final battle and she had helped in the build. Everyone she had ever known in her childhood was gone now. James, Lily, Severus, Remus, Peter and Sirius were all gone.

The thought of knowing she was the only one left from the old gang broke her heart. She wiped at her eyes when she realized a tear had escaped and she continued putting books up on a shelf in her class room. The door was open so she could hear other teachers doing the same, cleaning up their class rooms and putting paintings back on the walls. She was glad that everything was finally over, all the war and the death, but she never thought she would be alone when it happened.

Not uncommon that Severus couldn't sleep, but tonight was just ridiculous. A meander around the grounds was just what he needed - the chill of the night air had the man inhaling deeply in feigned content... but the figure he saw had his breath hitching completely. Such a familiar face, but far too young to be the Black he knew. A tilt of his head and a clear of his throat, and Severus could only stare.

It was far too late for this.

New Neighbor || theothersideoftheveil (Closed RP)

Allie's family's old home in the country was just too far out, and her flat above the shop too small and stuffy. It wasn't long after that realization that she needed to a new place, something bigger, and in London. After a bit of searching she had found herself completely drawn to Grimmauld Place, and why she didn't know. The neighborhood was still a bit grim and run down despite the recent efforts to spruce it back up. The place had it's own charm and she rather liked it.

She didn't hesitate in purchasing house number 13 which had sat vacant and for sale for what she was told years. In fact the seller seemed more than happy and relieved to have handed over the keys just a few hours before. Proud of herself for having managed to purchase a house all on her own, and the muggle way no less, she treated her self to ice cream followed by and exploratory walk of the park across from her new home.

The afternoon was a bit nippy, the seasons in mid change. Leaves on the trees various colors of crimson and gold reminding her a bit of the Gryffindor house at Hogwarts. The thought brought a smile to her face, as she strolled through the nearly deserted park. She found this a bit odd, it was a beautiful day and she knew there were many muggles in the area, she just had hardly seen any of them.

Stopping she glanced around a bit seeing no one around at all, a grin spreading over her lips. A soft giggle erupted from her as she she broke out in a run, shifting to her silver fox form mid stride. The small fox bounded towards a pile of leaves diving into it and rolling around happily. Perhaps no one around was a good thing.

Well, I’m glad. It means a lot. When I see Remus I’ll tell him so he can stop worrying.

Regulus threw back the hood of his robes as he walked up the stairs of Grimmauld place. The Dark Lord had given him his orders for his first solo mission. He was sure that his parents would be pleased. Of course, he knew he couldn't tell them any of the details, no matter how his mother pushed. What was said must remain between the Dark Lord and himself. Smiling faintly, he swung open the door to his home.
