Came for another family member, stayed for a person who's sweet, gave Despair a reason to continue existing and inspire him to be what he needs to be. Also, someone who's been patient with me and dealt with my lows and crappy attitude during those lows. Some one I thank, and glad she's back on my dash. I've missed her.

It was a quiet day in Toft's shop. Not too many deliveries, not too much work to be done, not too much to file or sort or tuck away. Slow and easy and warm, she sat at her desk with a cup of tea and a plate of gingersnap cookies. It was bitterly cold outside and smelled like snow, with hardly anyone venturing out to brave the elements--which was probably why Toft jumped a bit at the jingle of her door being opened, a bright smile spreading over her face as she greeted the woman who entered.
