time to play that game called go through my drawers with the intention of cleaning it out, but in the end only getting rid of a couple things and then going online shopping for fandom shirts that i have no room for

Beautiful Creatures Movie Rant. I know a lot of people have probably already made these but i just wanted to get my 2 cents in there because i just feel like i need to pour my anger out onto the contents of this blog. I loved the book with all my heart but the movie was just no.

Rating: 3/10 don't go see it if you've read the book or if you haven't

The first thing i noticed: NO MIRIAM, REECE, OR RYAN. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. THERE IS NO ETHAN WITH OUT MIRIAM! One of my favorite parts about the novel was Miriam's quotes of wisdom. Amma is just a seer, she is not a keeper the last time i checked. 

Another thing: No Sixteen Moons?? That was literally THE SIGN THAT LILA SENT ETHAN AND IT'S WHAT BEGINS THE BOOK AND IT WAS NOT THERE. WHY IS THAT. LITERALLY SIXTEEN MOONS TIES THE WHOLE BOOKS SERIES TOGETHER UGH. Plus in the book, Sarafine does not reveal herself UNTIL THE VERY END OF THE BOOK. She never goes to Ethan's house or shit like that. Lena's claiming happens at HER SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY PARTY, NOT the stupid re-enactment. Ridley never teaches Link to make bullets with his hands or whatever the fuck. Ethan gets fucking STABBED, not shot. 

Plus they cut out one of the best scenes: the dance!! Come on you know you were looking forward to seeing that shit go down on screen and it was a huge dissapointment. There were way too many dramatic kissy kissy scenes or whatever. And they didn't even mention the holy rollers like what is beautiful creatures without our favorite band? 

And okay this might sound stupid, but one of the things that made me most angry was RIDLEY'S. MOTHERFUCKING. HAIR. what the fuck was that weird ass short brown haircut like NO HER HAIR IS LONG AND BLONDE AND PINK. NOT WHATEVER THAT WAS. 

The last thing: Ethan would never leave Lena. It's a huge part of his character. HUGE, okay, huge. Like mega huge. And he just leaves her in the end? What? In beautiful redemption he literally DIES, CROSSES THE SEAM FOR HER AND THEN CROSSES BACK! And in the movie he just like leaves and shouts her name at the end or some shit. Maybe they implied that he was going back for her idk but no that doesn't happen.

The casting overall wasn't awful, except the trainwreck that is Ridley's hair. And they forgot to cast ryan, reece, and miriam apparently. Alice and Alden both did an okay job, they were dramatic at times, but they portrayed the characters well even through the shitty script they were given.
