the shock of pink hair is hard to ignore in the otherwise dull interior of the bar he’s found himself in. it sparks his curiosity, mostly because he’s bored and wants to have a really wild night, and no other opportunities have opened their doors thus far. so he slides into the closest available seat and flashes his pointed teeth in a smile, glass raised in greeting.

         “i can’t help but wonder, mate -- ‘s your hair natural or dyed?”

“You’re sort of assuming we both have a soulmate out there. And when you find yours you can just say that you were mistaken. Or something. I don’t know. But we can’t get into the party without one so unless you plan to go fall in love in the next twenty minutes just... use me.”

Vore was walking along with the crowd of people when he suddenly stopped in his tracks, shot an arm out to stop a stranger who’d going in the opposite direction, and gave them a once-over. After eyeing them up and down, he asked with a straight face, “Want to trade shoes?”

eats breakfast food for dinner: If Archer’s cooking it’s probably gonna be breakfast for dinner but I don’t think either minds!

turns the radio volume up until their ears bleed: Probably Dusty

waves at random animals: If it is a horse or a dog Archer absolutely will get excited for it. Cats are gentlemen and should be treated politely. 

binge-watches shows until 2 in the morning: probably Dusty. This is a habit Archer is not used to. But if Dusty is watching in bed, he likes to cuddle in close and have his hair pet while Dusty idly watches.

takes all the pillows: Archer won’t mean to, but he’ll complain his back hurts so Dusty will give him one. Then his legs and Dusty gives another, And the Archer passes out with all the pillows.

plays with rotating doors: Archer would probably get stuck in them and Dusty will make it a game and force them to spin in it.

would 100% fight with a sword if they could: Dusty might think Archer’s so old the war he was in he used swords and Archer might think it’s so funny he won’t try to correct him.

forgets every little thing: Archer, of course.

loves the thought of a double-date: Archer would ask if Dusty wanted to do it but they have to think of another couple and they don’t really share friends

has to eat fast food, like, three times a week: probably Dusty, but Archer will go as long as it’s a different place each time. He just likes the experience.

enjoys hugs: BOTH!!

could kill with a stare if their partner is flirted with: Dusty more than likely. Can give a hard glare and some sarcastic comment that goes straight over Archer’s head until later when he points out, “That dude was flirting with you.” “He was?!”

remembers all the holidays and goes above and beyond on gifts: If Archer remembers he will do all that he can to make it special. I feel like Dusty would do a reasonable amount of celebrating.

would cosplay as their favorite character: I don’t think either of them are really into that

stares dreamily at their partner like they’re the sun and stars: Dusty probably does it a lot more. I feel like he would be slightly more romantic even though he’s the sarcastic one. Archer does stare time to time, but mostly thinking about how lucky he is in all his years he met Dusty now while he could still remember him.

could fall and still look annoyingly perfect: Archer fall all the time and ruins himself, but somehow Dusty likes it.

loves pumpkin spice, like so much: Archer thinks i’ts an interesting take for a holiday favorite. When the season changes he always asks for them to go.

would fight for their partner’s honor: Archer could debate, take it to a court room, or even mildly threaten, but Dusty will actually be aggressive but not to the point of fighting. I think neither of them actually want to fist fight.

Emmanuel sighed happily as climbed from his vehicle, pale blue eyes glancing to the home of the very man he was here to see. Not that Poet necessarily knew that he was showing up right about now.. but that was just how their friendship was. There was no problem in either of them showing up at their house unannounced, and right now? Em was more than happy to get some kind of distraction from his day. Sauntering his way up the sidewalk, he didn’t bother to hesitate before knocking on the door firmly, placing a single hand at his hip and settling in to wait.

Jack stared. Stunned. It was an accident. He was sure it was. It had to have been… right?

There was a gun in his hand. Yes. The barrel was warm. Also yes. His ears were ringing from the shot. Yes. Poet was dead….

Yes.

Jack tried to feel something about it. Tried to force an emotion to the surface. But nothing came. He was numb. Cold all the way to his core. 

Poet was cold too. Jack didn’t lean down to test it. But he was certain that Poet was. There was too much blood on the ground for the man not to be. 

He couldn’t recall… why… he’d shot Poet. Something… important…

He’d learned something very… important. About Poet. And that had prompted him to buy a gun. And to fire it. But… Jack’s mind was a blank. Nothing quite making it to his conscious mind save the fact that Poet Carnegie was, in fact, Dead. And that Jack Ryan was not, in fact, sad about it. Even though it had not been so long ago that he’d been head over heels for the man. Whatever he’d known must have been bad.

“I’m… nothing. I was going to tell you I was sorry. But… I don’t think I am. I think maybe… you got the ending you deserved. And I don’t… know why I think that. Maybe I’m sorry about that. For not knowing.”
