Intermission - Shaped like a Friend (Closed - Kirby)
With the most worrying of matters currently set aside, there was still a problem at hand here: as much as he wanted to relax and take things easy! If this place and it’s so-called experiment was, indeed, the reason behind the vanishing of so many Mushroom Kingdom citizens: how many others had it taken besides his bro that he actually knew?
(The princess hadn’t already started looking for him and his bro and been dragged into this, had she? No, she was a crafty and clever lady - he had faith she’d believe in their safe return.) Despite the sheer size of this place: he felt determined to see if his assumption about this place being behind the ‘Mushroom Kingdom’ kidnappings was true (if it had taken others as well, then that proved it true!
Goodness, it was so hard to not get distracted in a new place like this and not just ponder about in wide-eyes awe at unfamiliar terrain: the buildings were like no Toad houses he’d seen, more a ‘futuristic’ style like Rosie would be fond of. Even the food here seemed strange - strange vegetables, strange fruit, moving frui- wait. Hold on one minute!
MOVING fruit? Pausing and skidding to a halt, it seemed the moving fruit was a round peach-like object: but on closer inspection, it seemed he’d ‘jumped’ to a conclusion here: it wasn’t a fruit, but a rather familiar pink creature.
“Kirby...they-a dragged a kid like you into this, too? Oh man, that-a stinks...are you doing okay?”
Okay, so Kirby did eat a lot (almost all of) Peach’s cakes in the tourneys which meant nobody else got any. That didn’t mean he would ignore a little guy who probably might not understand all that was going on! Maybe it was for the best the little guy didn’t understand it, though.
