Even when I feel like a car hit me and then backed over me for funsies I still pretty much love my life at The Pipsqueakery. It's exhausting and expensive. Sometimes it means I need to spend all day sewing hammocks and beds. Sometimes it's really sad, and sometimes it means I have to get out of bed even when I don't want to, but it's still amazing. I mean who wouldn't want to wake up to 90 hamsters, 13 chinchillas, 11 rats, 9 gerbils, 7 mice, and 2 guinea pigs waiting for your love? But Mortimer, I just cleaned that. Like literally just a few minutes ago. The cleaning is neverending here. Now, I'm going to bed after we vacuum the bedroom and feed the chinchillas their critical care too. #guineapig #messy #ugh #thepipsqueakerylife

Luna and Rowena! I am sending you to a zoo! The night before last I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and as soon as I lifted the toilet seat Rowena launched herself in to go for a swim. So, at 1:30 AM I had to wake all the way up, catch a chinchilla soaked in toilet water, and get her dried off all while I had to pee before I could go back to sleep. Then, last night, I woke up at about 4 AM to a sudden discomfort in my finger only to discover that Luna was giving my nails a trim while I slept. Not helpful Luna. Rowena got a special pumpkin baby food and critical care treat last night in hopes that every little bit would help her put on some weight. I also might be hoping that if she loves me enough she will stop putting holes in my fingers, but that's only a secondary goal. Also, yes, Rowena has decided the rock potty is her home. Last night she even raided the trashcan next to the bed and took some treasures back to her rock potty. Treasures being a tissue and a paper tag to a shirt, but hey, one [hu]man's trash is another chilla's treasure. #chinchilla #thepipsqueakerylife
