Acclimating to the strange city had been easy enough. Living in the Sky Realm has prepared Tristette for plennty of weird stuff, but the wooden axe was just adding insult to injury. Maybe Slarnd had been taken away when she was alive, but it was hers, dammit, it chose her. Being an Accordant meant something, even if it was bullshit. This afterlife was bullshit too, it was too normal. Tristette thought she had at least earned some of the torment that came with the Crimson Horizon; if she lived like a monster, she should've died like one too.
"Tch, if I'd known being dead was such a waste, maybe I'd have put more effort into staying alive," she grumbled, kicking a can along the road.
No, she probably wouldn't have, she thought. She spent plenty of timing clawing her way through life, and those last few moments had been a... special exception.
"It's just stupid! Stupid city, stupid island!"
The sound of her boot against the can punctuated her anguish, sending it through the air and over a low wall. Another hollow impact, followed by someone's shout of surprise, is enough to dispel Tristette's sour mood.
"Getting hit by someone's trash? Hehehe, how embarrassing! How... how stupid!"
She feels better now, at least.
