Oliver huffed a little as his mother, for once, put her foot down. 

He had to admit, although not out loud, she had good reason to. Even since Moira had revealed to him that she knew what he was doing during the night, she had become a bit more vocal to him staying safe.

But this also meant more bickering at some points.

This time, it seemed that him skipping the third family meal in as many days was not something his mother was happy about.

"Mom, I…"

He sighed a little irritably, scratching the back of his head.

She knew that he had patrols to do, and all the other things that came with being the Arrow… but there was also another reason he was skipping the meals. One reason he didn’t voice.

They made him extremely uncomfortable.

And it wasn’t because he was with his family. It was just the whole situation. The sitting at a huge table, eating complex food that all tasted the same to him. Everything that was prepared for them was too strong, too spicy, too something. The amount of food was a big issue too. He had to constantly remind himself, even though it had been several years since he had returned to Staring, that he could eat when he wanted, and what he wanted.

It was just never something that sunk in.

And it was never fun when both his mother and sister would stare as he barely touched the food.

Malcolm looked up as Moira as she entered his office as a sigh escaped his lips shaking his head. "Oh this can't possibly be good." He spoke quickly. "What did the boys do now? How much is it going to cost me?"

"I did, yes. And I'm sure you use that  as an excuse as to why you never truly stood up to me. There's nothing to be  ashamed of if you actually agreed with me. I'd be proud of you."

Fyers had known when Oliver Queen made it home. He'd seen it all over the news. It had seemed like a miracle, to most of the world, but Fyers had had little doubt that the castaway would return to Starling City. He had seen how resourceful and clever Oliver was firsthand. Since his own escape from Lian Yu Fyers had built a private security firm empire. He was good at the work, and didn't mind it. It was legal and kept him out of trouble in that sense, and MI6 had stopped trying to chase him down. It wasn't long later that the Hood (he knew exactly who was behind that endeavor) had taken out a team of his that worked from the Starling City branch of his security firm. It had come to light that the team had been using the firm's supplies to rob armored trucks though and Fyers' himself was glad that they had been dealt with. On a whim he decided to go and talk with Oliver. He wanted to offer him a job with the firm. Knocking on the door to the Queen residence, he waited, hands clasped behind his back.
