Hey at my wandavision people
Did you like the idea of having an alternate reality where you kinda lowkey deal with your trauma? Did you like the idea of therapy sitcoms and want to see more of it? Well then do I have a show for you!
Infinity train is an anthology series with each season focusing on a different protagonist. Our protagonists have issues in the real world and so the train picks them up to allow them space to work on their problems and work through their trauma in a healthier way! Each train in the car has a theme and you usually get paired up with a Denison of the train to help you learn and grow. It’s essentially the therapy train
So if you liked the working through your issues aspect of wandavision give this show a try, it’s on HBO max and currently has three seasons out with a fourth greelit.
(Anyone else who watches infinity train feel free to add on)
I honestly still can’t believe the irrational hatred for Lilith that took place after Agony of a Witch aired. You had an obviously sympathetic character who we had gotten to know and spend time with for a full season without a full explanation of her motives and backstory do some extremely basic villain stuff, and the fandom absolutely jumped down her throat to call her a snake, and say she didn’t deserve to be Eda’s family, and made lilithphobic pride flags and icons, and keep in mind, this is at the same time Infinity Train was airing, and she was not getting anywhere NEAR the same level of sympathy from the fandom that the character of Simon Laurent, who was kind of pushing the boundaries of what you could show a villain doing on a kids show, was getting, and I don’t wanna say it’s misogyny, but I’m pretty sure it was misogyny.
Infinity Train said “Children are not your therapists and if you hurt them, they are not obligated to forgive you.”
Infinity train season 1: Whoa! Some of this imagery seems a little intense for kids. I guess it’s made up for since everyone gets a happy ending.
Infinity Train season 2: Holy crow. Villain or not, I’ve never seen a main character commit such graphic murder on a kids show before. They’re kind of pushing the rating with this.
Infinity Train season 3: What the fuck. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat the fuck. What the fuck. What. The. Fuck.
Honestly, aside from the other reasons I’m glad Infinity Train didn’t go for the redeem Simon route because that just seems to be a thing in media nowadays. If a character has the slightest trace of sympathy, of course they’ll get redeemed, and at most only one big mustache twirling bad guy gets the axe. Infinity Train said “Your trauma does not mean you’re entitled to hurt others. Own up to your actions and get better, or rot bitch.”
