F I N I S H E D : The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams.
I love nothing more in the summer months than to grab a book and head outside to sit in the garden and get lost in some other world, experiencing a different life. Books gives us a window to other worlds, other experiences, and different viewpoints. Books can bring so much joy and connection as we enter into lively debates about it’s characters, or the themes that drew our attention. All of which I loved about the brilliant #TheReadingList by @saranishaadamsbooks. The book was a joyous celebration of the power that books can have, the therapeutic power they have to help us in our darkest moment and how they connect us to people we might never have otherwise. I especially love the idea of compiling my very own ‘reading list’ of those books that I have loved over the years, the ones I love revisiting, delving into its pages and feeling like I’m seeing old friends again. And those books that have had some emotional impact on me, or taught me an important lesson about life. But, if you has to compile your own list, what books would you include? I’m still in deep thought about my own! I know that #LittleWomen would definitely make my list as it’s a book that I have loved since I was a I young girl, seeing a little of Jo myself as a fellow bookworm and a love of writing! #books #bookstagram #bookshelf #reading #literature #bookworm #bookrecommendations #booklover #reading #read #readinglist #readingaddict #readingbooks #booknerd #bookaddict #booklove #bookhoarder https://www.instagram.com/p/ChFGGdND_31/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Book 133 of 2021. What makes you a reader? What makes for a good reader? How old were you when you started reading? I was eight when I became a lifetime, card carrying, heart and soul invested member of the Reader's Club ™️ Mr. Meddle Stories by Enid Blyton had me hooked and my life was never the same again. Since then books have been a part of my existence. An inedible part of who I am. I couldn't even begin to tell you how much they've shaped me, held me and healed me. I love reading and I love love love talking about books and getting others to read. For the last 10 years or so, I've actively been in the 'getting people to read business'. Before Instagram. Before Book Blogging. Years ago I had a personal blog where I occasionally talked about my weekly reads and snippets of my library hauls. One of my regular readers, a 60 year old grandpa, was inspired to read again seeing me gush about books. It made me so happy that I had gotten him to read again, after decades. He picked up books he had never heard of or books he thought he wouldn't understand or enjoy. He fell in love with reading again. His joy made my heart happy. And everytime one of you pick a book on my recommendation, I do a little happy dance (in my ❤️). This book is a little lovesong for readers. For books. For libraries. For stories and the infinite power they wield. This book felt like a hug. Brimming with so much heart, a sense of community and finding your own people. And books. So many good books. PS: I've read and loved every single title on this Reading List. . . . #whimsybookworm2021reads #IndianBooksinAugust #thereadinglist #bookrecommendations #bookstagram #bookstacks #readercommunity #bookreviews #bookbloggers #bookblogging (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTCFkMwpDnb/?utm_medium=tumblr
🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩 Author: Sara Nisha Adams Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Mukesh, a widower is still grieving his wife's death and is trying very hard to come close to his granddaughter Priya who is a bookworm just like his wife. Aleisha, a bright young teenager who hates reading books since childhood is now working in a local library which she hates too. Mukesh finds a book under his bed which his wife had borrowed from the library and decides to return it and at the same time try to understand more about books so that he can develop a close connection with his granddaughter and asks Aleisha for suggestions. But Aleisha who has not read a single novel in her life doesn't respond quite well initially. But when she stumbles upon a piece of paper that has a list of novels that she has not read or heard of before, she grows a little intrigued and decides to read each and every book in the same order and also suggests the same to Mukesh after reading it. Little did they know that reading these books will change their perspectives about life and also each other's relationships. A fantastic debut that will connect with all those who loves books. It shows the power of reading and how it can alter our lives completely and the way we think and responds to situations, the wisdom it imparts on us and so on. A very enthralling read that with a very engaging plot and some amazing selection of books to discuss. The author has summarised each of the books so brilliantly that if you haven't read those books yet you will definitely feel an urge to read them as soon as you finish reading this. I recommend it to all the book worms out there. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. #bookreview #bookstagram #harpercollinsindia #thereadinglist #saranishaadams #fiction #booklove #bookstagramfeatures #bookstagramfeaturesonly #bookstagramengagement #indianauthors #booksofinstagram #authorsof#readersofig #reviewersofinstagram #ReviewerPartner https://www.instagram.com/p/CSLkkwMrsUf/?utm_medium=tumblr
The Reading List
The reading list. A list for summer, a list for the year, a list for life. I think it’s always important to remember what you’ve read and cherish each book that you read, whether it be good or bad or nothing. That is what this account is for, to allow me to share my love of reading with the masses inform you of places to get books (cheap or not) and to give recommendations and reviews to people who might want to see them. For years, I have blabbed on and on about books to my family and friends and there have been some who had blabbed right back, but I feel like it is time to bring my love of books to a community that may embrace it, so hello! I’m Catrina and this is my book blog, the Reading List.
