Repost @thereadingninja My Baby Crocodile by #GaetanDoremus | OMG this book is incredible! It had us all laughing on the floor. While I drooled over the illustrations and cleverness of it all. One day a crocodile stumbles upon a boy knight dressed in a suit of armor, but mistakes him as a baby crocodile which he starts to care for as his own. He learns a lot about babies like how they sink to the bottom of the pond...maybe babies can’t swim? Or how his new baby likes his meat cooked...babies are so funny!!! The book halfway through flips to the perspective of the boy after the crocodile learns he is a boy and not a baby crocodile. They continue to play and live and hunt together fighting against both of their survival instincts to kill one another. It ends so beautifully heartfelt that I don’t want to ruin the ending. So if everyone could quickly go out and read it and then we can chat about it that would be great! Also I tell this to a lot of people but if you ever wonder about good books just look at anything published by @EnchantedLion and you won’t be disappointed. ✌️ #TheReadingNinja
#Repost @thereadingninja (@get_repost) ・・・ A WALL OF WOMEN. This time last year I marched on Washington with 2.6 million others worldwide. Today I march in NYC. The march was an emotional and life changing experience. This is a picture of our bookshelves last year full of books written or illustrated by women. Which doesn't include all the women behind the scenes who made these books possible. A powerful exercise. Things are shifting and people are waking up. But it will take time and we will continue to march until there is equality for every human everywhere. So first start at home “Here’s to STRONG WOMEN, may we KNOW them, may we BE them, may we RAISE them.” and may we teach our boys to feel the same. Are you marching? I’ll try to post some video in stories. #WomensMarch #WomensMarchonNYC #TheReadingNinja
