Indiecade and Relaunch!
Hey everyone! I've received several comments regarding the recent relaunch of my website. Thank you all for the kind comments. A little persistence in Dreamweaver goes a long way!
I learned a few things in Adobe After Effects as well- I created the new splash video that accompanies the front page of my website. I am satisfied with the outcome, and may revisit it again someday.
This weekend, I went to Indiecade in Culver City. If you saw a short bearded man with "IV Music" on a T-shirt, you probably saw me. Unless you saw my doppelganger, he has been known to fool with people. But Indiecade- what a blast! I saw some awesome games and tech, but I met some equally awesome people too- such as the composer for There Came an Echo, Jimmy Hinson- better known as Big Giant Circles. I met other peers including Akash Thakkar, sound designer of Hyper Light Drifter; Ryan Ike, composer of Gunpoint; and reunited with my friend Jacob Pernell, sound designer of Sam Farmer's Last Life game. Other cool introductions included one Clifton B of Czarcade; Asher Vollmer, creator of Threes and Puzzlejuice; and Siena Leslie and Vicky Hsu, the creators of Habit RPG. I hope to cross paths with all of these people again. Going to Indiecade was an awesome experience, and I will definitely be going again. Never have I felt more confident and energized from a gathering of indie peers. The outlook from here on out is a good one.
Also, Sportsball looks amazing!
