So Saturday was my blog’s second anniversary. It all started on the 26th of March in an office in Newlands, Harare when I was still working with the Zimbabwe Youth Council. Since then my zeal for; inviting people on the journey to make happy discoveries, beaming hope and appreciating young talent, has continuously grown. I have met awesome people through this blog, shared their story and in way, bought into their vision.
Two years really, are just an indicator that there is more to be accomplished and greater opposition is to be faced. However I would like to incorporate in this celebratory post, an introduction of a new blogger, @the_rambling_lifa. Lifalaza Simataa is a good friend of mine but talented and gifted young poet too. Please do check out his work https://theramblinglifa.wordpress.com As I celebrate my second year blogging on #gottheserendipityfactor I also celebrate the he emergence of a new blogger. Welcome Lifa, the journey is exciting but be prepared for the opposition you will face. Blogger’s Blog might be one more thing that makes it on the list of things that bother you. Nonetheless stay; courageous, te tom our character and integrity. A great blogger has a great sense of decorum.
I also would like to thank a number of bloggers that have made this journey remarkable and worthwhile. Brighton John, for introducing me…no….forcing me to blog. That gesture will forever deserve some gratitude. I started blogging late 2013 after Brighton John successfully nagged and persuaded me to blog with him on a pop culture blog @theredcirclezim. Since then I have been so ecstatic about blogging. Brighton, Sean Tafirenyika, Mona Lisa Dube and I shred the blog and our friendship has continued to grow. A couple of projects are in the pipeline @theredcirclezim. Thanks Brighton. http://www.brightonmusaidzi.com .I also want to be thank Sean for being so calm yet enthusiastic about everything you does. He is the embodiment of determination. Mona thanks for being an awesome bud. She keeps me in check all the times. I have also met Tuli “Tokyo” Amakali. He has bed me my Namibian blogging friend. I appreciate his work. It has always given me hope in times I contemplate if bloggers have hope. His posts are technically what everyone who claims to be a blogger should be doing. https://amakalituli7.wordpress.com Thanks for the previous nomination Tokyo,I really didn’t know what to say.
Over the past two years I have had the opportunity to share stories of wonderful talented young broadcasters Ruffy and Nashawn. It is always a pleasure interviewing you. Stay glamourblog
Ruffy I admire your slayage game, your work ethic is remarkable. Nashawn your always available to enthusiasm exudes life to my blog.
I am so grateful to my foundation, my family, I am going on over indebted to my mother Benita and her kids. They have supported me in various ways. They are all lovely and I would not have chosen a better family myself. Guys I can’t imagine my life not being the last born. Asante Sana. I have too much love for you. Would have written all your names but the family keeps on growing so the list would be too long. However I welcome little “Elie” Elisha Tangeni to the clan. Of course my all time friend Jonathan. Thank you for being alive. Your WeChat account gives my blog life.
To all those who have believed in my vision, to exude hope and make happy discoveries I am grateful. But behold for tomorrow is yours determine the world in its enigmas and promises. Walk down life’s winding pathways with courage, humor and hope. Savouring fully your trials and tribulations. Paint the city red with joy. Remember what you exude is what you attract. Be positive always, energies are contagious. We may face rejection and opposition on a daily basis. However I encourage us to live life to the fullest, by making it an eternal ambition to not need external acceptance, but gain internal comfort in our own skins. Let’s be keen to be self approved, and not needy of recognition. Mediocrity also has no excuse. Excellence in all we do is achieved through beginning all our endeavours from the get go, with soul, creativity and love. They call it Meraki in Greece, the art of leaving a piece of yourself in every piece of work you touch. Lets always remember the world is nit a wish granting factory. Things won’t always work on our way. Regardless of that; we need your joy, we need your hope, we need you to use your brains. The world has become so dangerous. Let’s restore hope for humanity through our different channels.
Over the past years, I have been exposed to the works of Robin Sharma and music of Coldplay. One key lesson I have learnt from both craftsmen is that the fundamental ground upon which all true self improvement is built is called self love. Because in the end, no matter which way you turn, if you do not love yourself, you will self sabotage yourself at one point. You will think that for some reason or another, you aren’t worthy. And you think that why would you truly want to achieve anything? And this is not just about achievement. This is about how you approach yourself everyday. This is what you see when you look in the mirror. We make so many snap judgements about ourselves being subconscious about them, that are filled with negativity, hurting us before we can even begin to heal.
The messages shared by Sir Sharma, Chris Martin and company, have revealed to me the antidote. Self love. I say this with your hope that it will not be confused with creating some narcissistic image of ourselves but self love, that inner greatness that no external can take away. Self love is an infinite resource you can share with others.
I hope that my blog offers some hope for all who read my posts and that at some point in your lives you reach a position where you are liberal enough to allow yourself to leave free of all negative limitations and sentiments placed upon you by naysayers. I hope in the coming years I exude hope, help build dreams. However I acknowledge that all these drams aren’t that ng copy ng man can do alone and can be the optimum results. I need you. Talk to me. Tell me your story and let me share it. Com let’s spread hope together and make happy discoveries.
Thank you for your support, Asante Sana, Danke, Merci, Napandula,Mazvita, Tatenda Siyabonga.
With that said I also take this opportunity to announce the launch of the Serendipity Book Club. Co-founded by my friend Katherine Amakali. Kate and I are literature enthusiasts and decided to establish an assemblage for like minded beings within our reach. The expect to read more on the Serendipity Book Club in my future.
