DAY 26 OF WAITING FOR MY TWO TIME PLUSH TO ARRIVE
Okay, we uncovered grandpa's lore in the last post, so, as promised, we do my granma's today.
My granma was born into a wealthy family(like my granpa- tho his family began to suffer after the war an stuff), her father valuing women's education unlike most people during that time.
And so, my granma was able to get the same schooling as men and eventually get into university, with a major in nursing(highly unusual for woman back then).
I dont know much abt how my granma and granpa got married, but I did hear that my granpa was messing with his dial phone to see if he could find a girl and ended up calling my granma so they.. went out.. :/
Their marriage wasnt a happy one from the start, as my granpa wasnt the man he is today; he was always silent(my mom said he spoke less than 3 sentences a day to his family), stubborn and angry, and the prime example of "wives should obey their husbands" type of guy.
That all changed when a granchild was born, and thar was me.
Mom said he changed, fkr the better; trying to quit smoking, and taking care of lil me and such. He's a whole different person today, which made their marriage a much more healthy and happy one.
One time, soon after my granma was married in, one of my mom's cousin suffered a fatal fever(it was the 70s so practically little to no vaccination and medicine ans stuff). My great grandmother(WHO WAS A BITCH but more on this later ig) said to just leave him for dead(again, 70s, so natural selection). My granma DEMANDED she get him to a hospital(she never stood up to her elders but she was a NURSE so). In the end, she saved his life, and his family is still grateful to her to this day.
Another story is when another cousin of my mom's was playing near a shop with glass windows and they broke, causing the glass shards to hit the artery veins in his arm. He would've died if my granma wasnt there to patch him up and take him to the er.
So about my great grandmother- she died at the age of 103 in a nursing home after her legs got paralyzed at a young age(rhink 20-30s), she was a bitter, old hag that tormented my granma by abusing her status as an elder(think demanding money, harassment, using my granma like a slave to prepare meals for gg's sons and daughters during holidays and stuff).
When I heard abt this i was fully ready to dig her up and perform witchcraft to make her living again so I could make her suffer.
Anyways.
The fun thing about my great grandfather is that he died really early in his 60s, was HELLA rich and good looking(but used up all that money by not going along w the times and just being a sentimental idiot), had a hobby in writing poetry, drawinf/painting, and photography..
Gng i may have gotten his artistic genes after it skipped a few generations;;;.
