I love the spectrum of how daddy issues present among people in fandom when it comes to older male characters

like theres the people who find them really hot and attractive and like thirst over them

and then theres the people like me who will immediately latch onto them as a parental figure, just staring at the screen going "you're my dad now"

and then the people who will put them through the horrors™ and the people who put them through the horrors can fall into one of the previous categories too or they're just in their own category

and obviously theres more but its so interesting to see how we all reacts in such different ways.
