If you had to dye your hair, what colour would you pick?

I would go with blue! I've dyed my hair quite a few colors when I was a teenager-- blue, purple, and an ACCIDENTAL firetruck red that I was stuck with for a year! Out of all of them, blue was probably my fave!

14. Piece of media that left a lasting impact on you?

I'll give a few!

Move- My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Idk if it's just because it's funny as hell, or if it's the time in my life when I first saw it, but this movie is always suchhh a comfort for me.

Song- It's between U2's "Beautiful Day" and Bob Marley's "3 Little Birds." Both of these songs have such great significance in my life. Til this day I can't listen to either of these songs without feeling extremely emotional. Those songs have held me up for years.

Book- Jeanette Walls' The Glass Castle. The familial struggles in Walls' memoir really stuck out to me when I read it, and I was able to relate a lot. That's a book I read at a pivotal point in my life!

29. Share an adventure you went on?

Oooh okay so one of my favorite adventures I've ever been on...

So, I'm from NYC. When I was little, maybe around 10, my dad and I decided to go out for a bike ride. He took me into Manhattan and to Central Park. We rode our bikes for HOURS in there. We even found a giant boulder and took a break from riding to climb it (I went up and down several times lmao). At the end of the afternoon, my dad and I biked back to the entrance that we came from. Then he put his arm around me, pointed to the ground, and said "Look. Read that for me."

There was a sign on the ground that said "No bike riding."

I immediately got scared, and he laughed, and told me that I'm such a goody two shoes that if I had known we weren't technically allowed to ride our bikes in the park, that I would have refused to do it. And he was right! I was worried about breaking the rules in the moment, but I had a LOT of fun. And now, looking back, I really appreciate that he broke the rules so we could experience a bike ride in the park together 🙂‍↕️

Oh, this is the best question for Nona -- she's a caretaker to her very marrow. She makes herself completely present for them, and encourages them to talk about their feelings. She is ready to provide -- hugs, water, food, a joke, advice. She does her best to be adaptable to their needs and encourages them to take the time they need to really process what they're going through. And she is ALWAYS ready to give hugs. <3

It’s related to a closed cultural practise so I can’t elaborate but yes - just not in the way it typically is thought of, I guess!

A month ago, I was trying to help out in an urgent situation and was told I have "kind eyes". It was nice to hear at the end of it all.

I'm answering 1 and 6 together!

Tofana started out as a mini Viago with an entirely different origin story, but the universe had other plans!! Back when DATV first came out I had a terrible monitor that REALLY exacerbated how see-through curly hair looked from certain angles; I played around with hair colour and noticed that it didn't look as wild with grey hair. That led to me jokingly using tattoos (later those changed to scars) to Fenris them up.

It started me on a path of imagining how funny it would be to play a perpetually aggrieved hero who keeps getting mistaken for a someone more popular (or as Hawke would put it: a shifty little square copper Fenris fraudster)

I did lose that specific bit, but I built large chunks of Tofana's personality out from there.

(Actually, the whole Tofana-Fenris thing ended up inspiring a major theme in my longfic; the unintended ways that history repeats itself, trauma and certain behaviours as an inheritance passed forward despite your best actions.)

As for the finer details of their aesthetic - some of it is me, some of it is me fighting the cc (i need to sit down and redo their whole face on a different model again to see if i can get a deeper skin tone) and some of it just works? They're definitely meant to be a scowly kind of pretty :D

5. Tofana's name

When I first created them, they were just 'Rook' to me; I liked the name and I wasn't planning to be anywhere where that could possibly get confusing :P

Tofana's name is less about them and more about how I characterise Viago in my fic! He's the one who names them, and I can absolutely see him going for a name that's both punny and poisonous!

2. What’s your comfort show?

haha OMG so i don't really have one comfort show in particular but I do really like british mini series about murders that shake up small sleepy villages a la broadchurch? OH! And Dr Who!

Otherwise, I put on a horror movie. I have no idea why I find them so comforting :D

20. Describe yourself how your love interest would describe you in a book.

"I cannot believe how mundane the world is!" they told me the morning after our first date, shaking their head. "No powers! No magic at all!"

I still don't know about all that. Things feel plenty magical watching them sacrifice a row of Marillenknödel (apricot dumplings), the pot of water seething for a few seconds as it gulps down its due.

Things are no different today.

"It's not fair!" they yell from the stove, moving up onto their tiptoes to get a better look, the tail of their Spyro onesie swaying listing limply off-centre. "Bills but no dragons?!"

That's my cue. My favourite part.

3. How long does it take for them to officially get together? Did any of the other Lighthouse members have any suspicions beforehand?

OOOOH. It takes them a little while! Nona and Davrin do initiate a physical relationship before they formally get together, and there's plenty of flirting in-between-- Nona wants to be professional, she really does, but there's just something about Davrin, you know? But they tell themselves and each other that there's no strings, just blowing off steam, friends supporting each other. And then Weisshaupt happens. And everything changes. Their physical relationship actually stops for a time as they figure out this new dynamic, and start to approach each other with a very new point of view. SO. They don't formally get together as a proper couple until after Weisshaupt, and even then, it takes a bit of time.

7. Are they a physically affectionate couple? Are they fine displaying those affections in public or do they prefer to be in private? If they're not, how do they prefer to show their love instead?

8. What does their ideal date look like? Do they go on much?

A walk in the woods!! They pack up a picnic, wander off into Arlathan or the jungles around Rivain or even the pseudo-forests of the Fade, and walk for a while before settling in to eat and talk. If the setting is right, they don't pack -- they hunt and forage and make a campfire to cook what they've caught, and just talk for a while. Sometimes they camp out overnight, but not often, not while the Veilguard is needed.
