So here's a piece I did for DC Fandome's (@dc__fandome) upcoming virtual event called "Blerd & Boujee" that's happening tomorrow. I was given the opportunity to craft a scene that captured the amazing Black Star power that would occur if a handful of DC's heroes had a rooftop dance party with DJ D-Nice on the 1's and 2's. I wanted to show what a celebration environment would look/feel like if 15 black superheroes came together just to party and have a good time. Something like this is almost never seen in comics, and I jumped at the opportunity to bring forth such an image. I wanted fans to feel the joy in the room. To want to actually jump on the dance floor with everyone and lose themselves in the music. I wanted fans to see how beautiful, stylish and relatable black Heroes can be if given the opportunity. At midnight last night I boarded my plane to begin the first leg of my trip to Ghana 🇬🇭 I’m now about to board my second plane in Portugal to complete the last leg of my trip to Accra.
