Here’s the setup, 2 #realestate brokers dressed in plain clothes walk into a #starbucks & wait for their friend. They didn’t order anything, used the restroom & the police were called on them. #philadelphia #police came & arrested the 2 men for no reason whatsoever. No disturbance. No problems. Simply based on how they looked (and I don’t have to spell that out for you). Now sure.. #boycottstarbucks will trend & Starbucks won’t be seeing my money, but what I really want you to get from this is the reality that is being #black in #america today. Do you understand the stress involved with knowing your freedom can be legally snatched away from you at any given moment for no reason outside of your skin color? This is my fear. Everyday. Even though they were released, their mug shots were taken. They have an arrest record. Anyone can pull them up & see that, like a job or potential client. There is no greater fear or liberation than being a Black Man in America. So when you watch this & get mad, do me a favor & speak out on it. It’s appreciated.

Who is more responsible? Is it the manager or Starbucks Corporation? In my opinion once the police got there and saw that there wasn't a crime being committed they shouldn't have arrested the two black men. The police are at fault for escalating the situation. LOL. Yet another boycott by Republicans that backfired. It unintentionally helps raise awareness for Muslim refugees needing jobs, and has turned into another way to #ResistTrump

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced Sunday that he plans to hire up to 10,000 refugees over the course of the next ten years. The announcement comes after the CEOreleased a letter to his employees expressing anxiety over President Trump’s executive order to temporarily ban migrants from seven Muslim-Majority countries. The plan will begin by hiring refugees that have worked with former U.S. soldiers as support personnel or interpreters. It will then branch out to all other refugees "At Starbucks, we are proud to call them [“dreamers”] partners and to help them realize their own American Dream.  We want them to feel welcome and included in our success, which is why we reimburse them for the biennial fee they must pay to stay in the program and why we have offered DACA-related services at our Opportunity Youth hiring fairs.   We are living in an unprecedented time, one in which we are witness to the conscience of our country, and the promise of the American Dream, being called into question."
