Prototype of my new cuckoo clock birdhouse design.
I even found some funky burnt orange colored screws.
Just finished this bench out of a cedar trunk a friend gave me years ago.
For a while now I've struggled with deciding on whether to make this a more personal blog that posts things I'm interested in and reblogs others, or to keep it all original. I've decided that the solution is to start another site where I'll post all original works, a lot of which will be for sale, and to make this one the personal space. I'm currently designing the new site and uploading content, and I've settled on a name and bought a domain for it. It's called The Royal Workshop. There are many royal workshops that have existed through time, designing and building things for their royal leaders, but I've always been in love with the culture of ancient Egypt and the art and invention their workshops produced, so this has been the inspiration for the name. I won't be designing and building things for royalty, but I'll always consider the people who love and admire my work, royal.
So there you have it. Nothing's going to change today, but I'll start the new philosophy when I launch www.theroyalworkshop.com. Hopefully, you'll continue to follow me here and add the new site to your follow list. Thanks, and I'll keep you updated!
