I’m pretty sure part of the reason Labour didn’t do nearly as well everyone expected is because so many people figured there wasn’t really much difference between them and the Tories (And then Harriet Harman went and supported the Tory welfare cuts. Make of that what you will.).

Like, people like Jeremy Corbyn because he actually wants to make Labour left-wing again and people like his policy ideas that are actually different to the tories

And fuck Tony Blair anyway. And he can’t exactly talk- his victories in 2001 and 2005 were won on very low turnout (59.4% and 61.4% turnout- even lower than this year), and arguably part of the reason for his 97 victory was due to disillusionment with/getting sick of the Tories and Blair being very good at PR and creating a good media image and so on
