when we almost witnessed a murder attempt in the form of a nose scrunch...
What I've tended to find is that for all the endless, endless words written about Sherlock, all the unending screams about Sherlock, I don't think anyone has ever mentioned, not one person, that it's a comedy. Watch it, it's a joke a minute. I always think A Scandal In Belgravia, my best ever script, as being very melancholic and sad, but you watch it and it's boom, boom.
Because Mark [Sherlock co-writer Mark Gatiss] and I write comedy, it's a comedy about a detective and everyone wants to focus on everything else. I like that kind of comedy, that kind of disguise comedy, very funny. If you watch it with a big crowd, Sherlock gets the number of laughs you would expect from a high functioning comedy.
- Steven Moffat in his interview
I know this is old but here we go
Are you kidding? Sherlock? A comedy? Yes, there are some funny scenes, good jokes, humorous situations, and all that. Credit to you where it's due, the humour is good. But the show as a whole? It's a sad fking love story, and you know it, Mr. Moffat.
Everyone has felt the pain John feels at Battersea in ASiB, we all cried when Sherlock jumps off the roof of Bart's, for John's loss when he sobbed at Sherlock's grave, when Sherlock was punched by John for sacrificing everything he had in TEH, at Sherlock's heartfelt best man's speech love letter, even the wedding guests cried and then basically every other moment from TSoT because they are longing for each other so hard but are kept apart. Have you even looked at Sherlock in your show after TSoT? He's miserable the whole time up until the end of S4. And John is dreaming about Sherlock and is completely unhappy in his marriage. They both are done with their lives apart and just want each other.
Oh wait, the show is a comedy because John pulls at an old man's hair, because Mrs Hudson has an Aston Martin and John is a balloon. haha :|
It's like saying The Conjuring is a romantic movie because the husband and wife love each other.

“She’s always shown that she’s interested in the marginalized. Since this is just the beginning of Nagini’s story, I think there will be more stories that will help forget these kinds of controversies.”
