It was interesting enough, knowing her daughter was dating someone of such valor, skilled with weapons made of metal and gunpowder. Anna approved of them when he presented himself as the perfect gentleman, even greater when he teased her oldest son.  Overtime, his presence felt comforting. So when he appeared in the gardens while she was plucking fruit, she couldn’t help but smile at the gunslinger. 

“Erron, such a pleasure. How are you, dear? Something on your mind?”

        “WAIT, HOLD ON!” Peter calls out, scrambling up to his feet and following after the other the hero— sure, MAYBE he had gotten himself a little pushed around, knocked down and dazed ( the slight, throbbing pain no doubt a new bruise up his side, and the hobbling at his right ankle is a little concerning, he can ignore those for now ), but it isn’t anything the young hero HASN’T experienced before. A small scratch, thrown against concrete, it’s BASICALLY the same thing anyways. 

     Desperate need to prove himself still not quite satiated— he remains a NEIGHBORHOOD hero, one primarily stopping local crimes and meant to look out for the little guy, but it doesn’t mean he never wants to help when other situations call for it. “I’m- I’m good, I’m fine, I can help! It was barely anything, anyways, I didn’t even feel it, I swear! What— uh, what can I DO, though, Mr... Ant-Man... sir-”

Kat had been stalking her target for almost an hour now. It would have been easy enough to just kill him in the middle of the marketplace but she didn't want to scare the innocent people just trying to live their lives around her. As soon as she saw her target duck into an alley she followed close behind.

Once she was close enough she pulled out her combat knife, covered his mouth and slit his throat just like her employer requested. She was just removing a ring from his finger as proof of death when she heard someone approaching behind her. She quickly stood up, gun aimed down the dark alley.

"Whoever you are I suggest you move along, this doesn't concern you."

How had everything gotten so bad? It was hard to pinpoint when things had gone South. Though, she’s still shaken up from everything that had transpired. No one ever said being the sister of the Captain America would be easy. There was a bigger target on Sam’s back now, more than there ever had been before. Though, she hadn’t ever imagined that she would be put in danger from someone targeting him. This was her life now, she supposed. Just like the time Karli had called and practically threatened Sarah and the boys. The thought makes her blood run cold and she almost doesn’t hear Bucky speaking up. “Mm...? Oh, sorry..” Her mind is distant, words even further away as she tries to focus for a moment. Pulls the jacket closer to her as she snuggles into it a bit. As if a simple piece of fabric could shield her from the world. “Thank you... For showing up...” She pauses just briefly. “I didn’t-- I couldn’t call Sam. He would have gone off the handle and I don’t think he would have been able to handle this.” She wipes away a bit of blood from her lower lip. “I’m okay though, really.”
