**apparently the startling easily thing is a thing, though; like, he’s gone on about it for years, talking about how his brother and sisters would sneak up behind him while he was shaving or something and go BOO and scare the ever-loving shit out of him, and he’d get mad because it was such low-hanging fruit or something... but then I looked it up and this is a thing people actually talk about, so I’m usually pretty careful not to sneak up on him. Not that I would, but now i really don’t.

In Quebec, the Liberal Party is more of a centrist/centre-right party as well. Not as right wing as BC but generally pro-austerity and pro-business.

Yeah, I had them in mind of another party which bucks the trend. Repeated use of austerity and putting business interests ahead of the public is not the sign of a left leaning party.

Nicknames: I have an old Japanese friend who calls me パン (pan - as in pain (the French word, not the English one). I don’t exactly know why, but he’s called me that for about a quarter of a century now.

Gender: Cis Female. Ish. 

Height: 5′2″

Sexual Orientation: IDEK anymore. I have had sex. With a woman and a man. I can’t recall ever looking at anyone and thinking, “I’d like to have sex with that person.” I have a fairly strong libido, and I fall into crushes very easily. Make of that what you will.

Favorite colors: mostly just green

Time right now: 5:10 PM Average hours of sleep: 6-ish, most nights Lucky number: I can’t say that I have one... Last thing I googled: “inclement weather GMU” Number of blankets I sleep under: one blanket, one sheet - I’m curious about these weighted blankets, but I’m not sure MAFM would go for it. Favorite fictional character(s): aw, man, I don’t know... Jo March, Jane Eyre, Snape, Lee (East of Eden), Cheng Dieyi, Mikkelsen’s Hannibal... there are probably more... Favorite books: A Last Chance to See; Little Women; Jane Eyre; East of Eden; Journey to the West Favorite bands: I can’t say I have much in the way of favorite bands, but I’m a sucker for old-school stuff (Pink Floyd, in all its misogynistic glory; Aerosmith; The Beatles; Dionne Warwick & Burt Bacharach... stuff like that). (I’m old.)

If they asked you, would you write for the new Star Trek series? I think you know a few things about Vulcans and Romulans.

If someone from Alex Kurtzman’s office gets in touch with me or my agent, I’ll be delighted to read the new series bible and listen to whatever they have to tell me about how they want the new series to go. And if after thinking about it a bit I find there are stories inside that envelope that I can do a good job of telling, then absolutely I’d be pleased to serve. :)

But this is such an early stage, and who knows what’s going to happen? All any of us can do is wait and see.
