can we argue that the Sheperd of Cobblers Square was the ASOIAF equivalent of a megachurch pastor preaching and prancing about in a theatre way. i know he was in there saying
“The Stranger comes, he comes, he comes”
the same way theres that one video of a pastor yelling
“WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP
like tell me that shit ain’t happening man i can see it in my minds eye. in fact i would go so far as to say that most septons are akin to catholic parish priests while those who practice either poverty or great theatrics for the small folk are the ASOIAF equivalent of megachurch pastors and those folks who stand in next to pride parades with the “you will burn in hellfire” signs
