The Silence in Between

He knew it long ago, but sometimes it was still hard to be honest with himself. To admit that he was insane. To have all these voices talking in his head without anyone else noticing. His brother was the only one that didn’t left, that didn’t abandon him when he got into mental hospital. No one was really able to explain what kind of illness he exactly had. Most of the time they left him drugged up in his room. Leaving him alone with all the voices screaming in his head. No one was interested in him until one of the patients hid in his room. The patient didn’t talk but there was no need to as they sat on the small couch and starred into each other’s eyes. And for the first time in forever the voices in his head went silent.

Aw, thank you for the warm wishes, Beth. I've now got my fingers crossed; I hadn't heard that about Friday the 13th before.
