The castle was enormous. Granted, it looked pretty big from the outside, but Emyd swore it was even bigger on the inside. He fidgeted in his guard uniform, which was a couple sizes too big. Aeleus had mentioned he was 'a bit on the scrawny side', so until he could get a uniform that was special tailored, he would have to deal. Though Braig assured him he would grow into it. 

He wondered the castle halls, trying to get better familiar with the place so that he wouldn't get lost. It'd be a while before they put him on any serious duty, not until after he'd gone through a bit of training.

Emyd paused to lean against a wall next to a large painting of the Radiant Garden falls. "What am I even doing here?" he asked out loud. He wasn't guard material, but since he was even less mad scientist material, they'd stuck him in a uniform instead of a lab coat. Granted, it was better than being out on the streets but, could he really fit in here? At least they'd let him keep his instrument.

Vexen was quietly sitting in his study when he heard the loud creek of his front wooden door sound through. It would have not been heard by mortal ears but rarely did anyone enter through his doors. Closing his book and taking off his glasses he walked out of his tower where his study and lab laid and went to see who had entered. His eyes gazed down when he entered the grand hall to see a young child standing there.
