"Let me be your wing! Let me be your only love!"  Sam enjoyed his attempts to embarrass the former soviet soldier. Bucky just laughed and took another swig of the Stoili’s. There was a warmth the Barnes and since the first day they’d found him, it had slowly surfaced. Now, it blazed encompassing all his loved ones with familiarity and kinship, and that warmth. It had been a long road to recovery, but Bucky didn’t walk it alone. Steve and Sam were with him every step of the way. Their friendship was based on trust, tested by battle, and solid as ever.

They were partying it up, acting silly and drunk. It was fun; Until a few guys are the end of the bar started giving the pair dirty looks; and those dirty looks turned into some unsavory slurs.

Sam and James stand back-to-back, arms raised. They are military and they know drunken civilians don’t stand a chance. It’s almost amusing, if not for the offensive comments that preceded the fight. Fists fly, and Wilson makes a point to remind Bucky not to use the metal arm too much. Even when defending, it still would do more damage to their attackers than either probably intended.

Bucky pulls Sam back and uses the robotic prosthetic to block a hit while Sam knees the last guy in the gut for attempting to break a bottle of his companions head. Tossing the groaning man aside, they look each other over and grin.

The bar is fucked to hell, with at least two broken tables. Bucky sit on the part of the bar that’s not covered in glass or blood, and finish his drink with Sam beside him, bitching about how his pretty face got a little messed up. And, it’s still not the worst night they’ve seen

I don't think we're done exploring their backstory yet.  There were clear glances, and maybe that's just me reaching for natbucky moments but that look on the bridge after she shoots him. Everything during their fight. They knew each others move before they were excuted.  I have this feeling MCU will explore it. They're both Russian, we know that much. They keep saying nat was born in 1984 and part of the KGB. Yeah, well, the KGB disbanded in 1991 and was falling apart long before that. So, unless she was some one year crawling around the halls of the KGB with a glock 26, they're clearly covering up things. Also, Alex's line "Are you ready for the world to see you as you truly are?" ....yeah, there's more coming to nat's back story and I'm fairly sure they'll have to include bucky. I mean, they have to.

"I’ve got you, Bucky!" Steve darted as quickly toward the man as he could, grabbing the large machine that was holding his leg, clamping it tightly in place. Steve grimaced at the sight and placed his hand either side of the vice, prying it apart and then looking down at the damage that it had done. Though he didn’t have much time to linger on the gory sight. "Come on, we need to get out of here, pal!"
