🍺🍺🍺½❌ • The Six Brewing Co. Sugar Beach Saison ABV:6.2% IBU:40 • Starts out with a light toasted bready malt aspect to begin the sip. It quickly transitions into a smokey yeast aspect that brings on a very light, phenolic aspect of banana flavouring. Floral hops makes an appearance before transitioning into a spiced conclusion. @thesixbrewing #thesixbrewingco • Sun is going down on the weekend and it’s time for a cold one and a little research. Noticed that it was bottled on Aug 29, which had me thinking, is it still going to be good? Turns out that a saison can be aged for 1-2 years from what I was able to find online. So much I still need to learn... anyone have any craft beer book suggestions for me? • This is a well put together saison, however I would enjoy a slightly higher carbonation level. 🍺🍺🍺½❌ • The Six Brewing Co. Festbier Lager ABV:5.6% IBU:26 • Starts with toasted grainy biscuit malt and then a lemon zest introduces itself quickly, before the hops aspects come into play. This is made up of fairly assertive noble hops, with grassy and floral flavourings. The carbonation provides a nice clean and crisp finish. @thesixbrewing #thesixbrewingco • Straight forward easy drinking festbier that’s slightly more hopped than what I’ve tried before. This provides a higher bitterness, however the finish managed to stay crisp and refreshing. I could see myself giving this one another shot • Ps. 🍺🍺🍺¾❌ • The Six Brewing Co. Cherry Screaming Kettle Sour ABV:5.0% IBU:5 • This one starts out with a bubbly mouthfeel, induced by the relatively high carbonation level. The cherry flavour is prominent throughout the entire sip, providing a semi sweet taste. The tart aspect plays a little in the backend, however, never gets too strong or out of control. 🍺🍺🍺🍺❌ • The Six Brewing Co. White Squirrel Wit ABV:4.8% IBU:20 • This one starts with a nice hazy and creamy wheaty malt aspect. You are then hit with citric orange flavouring that fades away into the phenolic flavours of banana and clove, provided by the yeast. A little bit of lime translates through on the finish, with a light bubbly mouthfeel. @thesixbrewing #thesixbrewingco • First beer I’m trying from this brewery and it didn’t disappoint. Nice hazy creaminess that I’ve come to know and love. It had the citric orange component, which I’ve experienced in other beers, but the lime finish is an enjoyable new addition.
