Girl how do you get your pictures to be so crisp and high quality when you upload them? I've seriously tried everything, but I can't resize the image without making it blurry

if you own the art you’re uploading you have it with the highest quality.

Hi there! I am super in love with your art, and I have a question. How on earth do you color dark scenes without them appearing washed out? For example, your picture of Lapis and Peridot snuggling next to the window with all the snow. Any time I attempt to draw a dark scene such as that, it looks kind of muddy and washed out. Do you have any advice when coloring how to avoid that?

The only reason id say its not looking washed out its cause its cell shaded? I dont really know..i mean, dark scenes have always been hard for me too, thats why recently i’ve been drawing more dark scenes to try and get out of my comfort zone and they turned out fine i think...the point is not to make them too dark so for starters i’d say its easiest to think of a good (even if its dim) source of light, like an almost dying candle...you have your source of light and you know where your highlightsd are gonna be, and you start from there. Altho i go like this - i set my main dark colors (i pick the ones i think thatd fit best..takes a while to get a hang of that so if you cant pinpoint an exact color you want you can select it from another draw, i do that too to keep consistent) then i make the highlights - tghe lightest areas, and after that i go for even darker highlights. Like shadow within the shadow...shadowception...sorry i cant currently lay down examples for you but im wirting this from the phone since i wont be on pc for some time (comming back tomorow but wanted to answer that..). So experiment and test! c:
