The Taint vs The Soul

Ciaraen is not, in fact, wholly the soul he was formed from.  Ciaraen is mostly the taint wrapped around Gofraidh, the thing that wrapped itself around the shining spec of human to protect it from harm and destruction.  He twisted himself into the soul until it became impossible to tell one from the other.

Above all, Ciaraen sees it as his duty to protect Gofraidh, even from those who would see him saved

Late in the evening on a warm, summer night, the sun had just crept over the horizon and the evening sermon recently released. Temperance had waited for the groups to dissipate, leaving one, maybe two people within the church's grounds praying silently to their beloved God.

She pushes through the doors silently so not to interrupt those lost in prayers and thoughts, and quietly made her way towards a back pew to observe from.  Fingers curl around a small, leather bound book she carries with her, drawing a pen from her pocket to begin writing the details of the church and its layout - more specifically the way Jesus was represented upon the cross hung at the front, and the candle light illuminating his quiet visage.

Red hair drawn back in a loose braid, with hazel eyes gazing about quietly. A simple tank top with a light, jean jacket, and ripped jeans made up her attire.  Plain, inexpensive generic converse for her sneakers looking more than a bit broken in. She probably hasn't purchased new clothes in a while, but she wasn't one for material possessions unless it was her computer stuff.
