If I ever write fanfiction it will be either for 1. MGS because the timeline gaps, abandoned plotlines and loose ends, drive me insane. or 2. Haruhi Suzumiya because the high stakes premise in a low stakes environment, with its covert and preventative conflict resolution (which is the whole point), might be great and it's what gives the narrative its character, but it also drives me insane. I would turn it into a cosmic war in the likes of Kyomu Senki!
