Hey! I'm quite new to this, but the orange patches on this cat look interesting to me. Would you say this is just rufousing?

Yep! :3

It's in areas where we would typical see rufousing & looks to be pretty symmetrical. On the 3rd photo we can see a black stripe going over the ginger parts, which means that that is definitely rufousing (if it was ginger, the stripe would be ginger). Same w/some parts on the cheek in the last one there.
