You’ll Remember Me || Bob x Steven
A night of woodworking, wine and classic tunes had turned into much more. Bob’s eyes had begun to sting from staring at the intricate detail work he was carving into the backing of one the chairs he had been working on for hours. Polishing off the bottle of wine he had started hours ago, he threw on some casual clothes and headed downtown, to The Oasis. He had seen an add for the hookah bar in a pamphlet that had been jammed between the crack in his door one afternoon. He needed a smoke and the chill ambience.
He took a seat by himself on a couch in the corner of the lobby. It was Monday so it wasn’t surprising that the place was so empty. While the workers prepped the hookah and tobacco, Bob lounged, playing a game on his phone. He only turned his head slightly when the couch dipped beside him. He had hoped for a little company anyway.
slurred words.
“Thaaaaaaat’s the Asian guuuuuy from the zoooombie show…” Bob was obviously slurring his words now, badly. In his hand, he held a full beer - his ninth bottle tonight. He grinned widely before setting down his bottle then nearly knocking it over swiveling around in his chair. “Ohhh, Steve, he’s like, my Asian brother from another mother. If we were like… kangaroos… we would be the best kangaroos mates ever, I think.” He lolled his head back and chuckled slightly, obviously well beyond plastered. “I bet people would ship us like, in the shows. Like Bellamy and Glenn? Yeah, I’m creating that ship.” He tried to make a hashtag symbol with his fingers and failed. “#shipperatheart. Glennamy. I like it.”
